I have a couple things to say. First, I've published a small update today: Changed timestamp, author, and post number text from purple to teal Changed some Recent Activity events and the "Showing threads" text from black to white Tabs on pages are now dark With this update, pretty much everything I have access to is now dark Stylus checks for updates every 24 hours by default, but you can manually update at the style's page to get these changes now. Second, today's update will probably be the last update for this version, as I'm going to be rewriting this again (it doesn't take that long when you know what you're doing) in a way that will make future changes easier for me. Third, in the new rewrite, there will be four new options: Consistent* or darkened background colors Best contrast or faithful text colors* Light or dark* post textbox Dark Skyblock header image or just the logo text* * indicates the option that is used in the current version Consistent background colors means that there will be a few colors used to style elements. Currently, there's 7 being used: white, almost-white, purple, teal, and three blacks. Darkened background colors means that with a few exceptions, the colors used for styling will be 95% darker than what the element normally uses. It's probably not a very noticeable difference compared to Consistent, but some may prefer it. It won't be the default since dark themes don't usually do this. Best contrast changes the colors of the negative rating and hard-to-see colors in the color palette (the colors shown when you click the text color button when writing a post) for better readability on the dark backgrounds. Faithful text colors doesn't change them. Regardless of the option you choose, black will always be changed to white The light post textbox is the post textbox when the theme is off, and accurately shows what users without the theme will see when it has been posted. The dark post textbox doesn't accurately show this, as it makes black text white, but it fits with the rest of the theme. The dark Skyblock logo option will toggle whether you'd like to see a version of the Skyblock Forums header image for dark backgrounds made by the cool guy writing this, or just the logo text. Fourth and finally, when you want to type in the default color, please set the color to "None" instead of black or white! While I've made it so black text changes to white while the theme is on, I can't do anything about people who don't use styles that come across white text. Using "None" will ensure that all users will be able to see your text properly. Thanks for hopefully reading this dumb wall of text and I'll see you all in the next changelog
Bump! And why was I yapping so much four years ago? I don’t think most people even care about half of that. Scope creep for a Minecraft forum theme is wild I no longer plan on adding any of those options except textbox color, and I don’t see the need to rewrite the theme anymore. Instead I’m going to add options for changing the accent color (currently it’s always purple), always improve text contrast and always show a dark version of the clouds header, and probably some other tweaks in the future. I also just fixed the images and download links. I would’ve done it much sooner but I have 2FA on my account and it’s still on my old phone, so I didn’t feel like it That’s all for now.
