Not sure if this has been suggested before, but..
Since you already give rewards for people voting daily, I thought maybe one for some sort of check in on the forums (would require making an account obviously) daily as well for maybe a tiny reward. Would give people on the servers another reward to do daily and boost the traffic on the site which I imagine is a good thing for the algorithm (pretending I know how web pages work with google)

Cool idea, though members would just stay afk logged in to get the rewards without actually having a positive influence for the forum itself. Nothing more than a forgotten tab left open for months ig

 

Same can be said for server votes. They just come online to collect their keys and hop off. Also can be AFK’d. You against that too?

 

No, because that's them using the server for its intended use. If people can start farming forum rewards, first what's to stop them creating 100s of false accounts just to gain more rewards from the forum, and second. Those 100s of accounts would simply just be left with the tab open meaning they're not actually interacting with the forum and taking away resources that other guests or members could be using.
That's one of the main reason why we no longer have offline voting rewards. Because its meant to reward being active. Not just logging once into the forum and never using it.

If a reward should be added, then it should be as a forum trophy. Which there already are trpohys for activity use

 

Solution: Link forums account to minecraft account. Then you can only collect a few at most

 

I do too, hence my early support. I just feel that if being active on the forum gives in game rewards then players would only use the forum to stay afk farming rewards. Its too easy to abuse. Exact same as voting when offline without actually playing the server. Forum rewards would be fun though like more trophy and points.

 

I wish my trading threads could get more activity ;( 800 views and nobody wants

 

I like this idea, reading the replies above with how people would just use it without engaging does give me another idea for this as well - each forum achievement you get could also give you in game rewards as well

 

I think forum achievements should require a button-click daily rather than just having it permanently open in a different tab. But with that in place I think it's a fun way to drive engagement with the server.

Forums are for everyone. Lets get more players here expressing their opinions.

 

Wow, didn't expect this to get so much traction lol.

I can see how it might get abused by some, but most things in life have good actors and bad actors, the key is to balance it out with more good than bad. Even if some do abuse it in some way I feel like the overall net positive from the good actors would far surpass the ones trying to manipulate it.
