Every other day there is always some people who try to visit my island, and end up getting kicked instantly. At first we didn't know what the problem was, I'm still not fully sure to be honest. Now I believe it to be a client and server version problem. Unless its just me. I was told by someone in chat that skeletons can cause people to get kicked. So I removed my skeletons - did not fix the issue. I then tried removing other mobs/creatures like turtles, and had the same person visit me, and it worked. He was able to walk around. But then not even a few minutes later he got kicked again. The mobs I have on my island are frogs, magma cubes, pigs, mushroom cows, chickens, 1 cat, special sheep, and a llama. I know my island is quite laggy for some hardware. But that shouldn't be the reason they get instantly kicked. I was then reminded about "/pets" being a thing. I went to the same person's island and tested some pets, lots of them worked, but some mobs I had on my island were not in the /pets menu. So I could not test other ones out. One pet that did have a problem was the Skeleton. I would spawn the skeleton in with /pet command, and the player would get kicked. I could AFK his own island and he would not be able to rejoin. This is not the case with everyone, but there is more than enough people who are affected by this to consider this a problem (in my opinion). I would post this as a bug report, and it may get moved to a bug report. But if people cant visit my island because of a server problem or a client version problem, well then id like this to be known by all and fixed asap. I would love to know if anyone else is having this problem. And any info to prevent this would be nice. Here is a small clip of what I am on about. I could of sat there with the skeleton out for however long I wanted to, and they would not be able to rejoin the server.
I've seen the same issue before, sometimes everybody would get kicked when they tried to visit a specific island, sometimes just a few people. I don't think it was related to mobs though. I remember when IcyPacks had that issue, and a staff member was able to fix it really fast, idk how though.
It may be your environment (i’m pretty sure you have one enabled) or the mobs causing it. Newer versions are unstable and things like this are common. We encourage users to use 1.19.2 for our servers.
I'm speaking from first-hand experience. Most connection issues/client-side errors/glitches are caused by too new version use.
I think you now have the power to forcibly kick people off the server. Wield it wisely o chosen one ✨️
