So is anyone gonna talk about the fact we keep having bots join the server and spam the chat? Surely the server has some sort of anti-cheat that stops botting or atleast give the mods the ability to ban them all. Just found out that the mods have some sort of cooldown on banning people lmao? The bots aren't causing anyone harm, infact they are just making VP's faster but is still annoying having to deal with it everyday
That's not true. You were probably not online around that time, but yesterday they spammed things like the n-word and even worse racist/homophobic messages. I talked to krissy after making a ticket about it like two days ago and she said that they are all using separate IP's. So it's impossible to ban them all. They would have to manually ban them all, but they are using different accounts every time they do it. I don't know what a solution for this could be.
Where do bots even come from? Do they just appear from the miasma of cyberspace or is there a mommy bot and a daddy bot that love each other very much and very frequently?
Doesn't have to be frequent, since each "spawing" is hundreds or thousands...kind of like some fish, or seahorses.
There should be improvements to anti spam soon but for now it’s a lot of manual work. The filters do block a fair bit it’s just needing tweaking to combat newer attacks. For the forums ones it’s a bit annoying as we now have to manually scope out new members list as the bots aren’t trying to post threads; so it doesn’t notify us. I’ll be looking out when I can. There is no limits or cool downs for staff banning. We reported all our concerns and hopefully will see the improvements
