Hey everyone been a while since I have been here! I am looking at a pc at the moment and i am just wondering how 1440p gaming would go on it for games like rust, hogwarts legacy, cyberpunk and how future proof this build would be here the specs! Gigabyte B760 Gaming X AX DDR5 Motherboard Intel core i7-14700KF 5.6ghz 20 cores 28 threads cpu Gigabyte RTX 4070 Windforce OC - 12GB Graphics card 32gb of kingston fury beast rgb 6000mhz (2x16gb) ram cards and 750w Inwin 80+ Gold PSU
That’s a beast of a PC, I can’t tell you the specific FPS you’ll get for each game, but trust me you’ll run every game out there very smoothly, even on 1440p. Also the parts are very recent, so it’s quite future proof
Up the memory. For a rig with those other specs, don't cheap out on the RAM. Go for 64 (4x16 or 2x32) at least. Also, what type of storage are you looking at? SSD at the very least, NVMe for boot drive if possible. You can really go down a rabbit hole on storage, specifically NVMe, but you want something reliable with a decent TBW rating for the size. For an NVMe drive, you should look to make sure it has: * TBW ratio of no less than 700-1000:1 * Sequential Read MB/s of no less than 6500 (personally wouldn't go lower than 7500) * Sequential Write MB/s of no less than 6000 (shoot for 6850) When I built my daughter's machine for Christmas 2022 I went with a FireCuda 350 for 1275:1 TBW and 7300/6900 Read/Write MB/s. It was actually less expensive than slower drives with lower TBW ratings.
Unfortunately I had already brought it the good news is I did go with a ssd but I only got 32gb of ram as was my budget I will upgrade my drive and ram at a later date thanks for the advice!
