The less seriously people take the game the more fun they have. Take things too seriously, no more fun. From someone to took this game too seriously... just don't. And typically drama won't find you.

While I appreciate the sentiment of this post I don't think it will create any change on eco.

In a community as large and diverse as this one, there's bound to be disagreements. Skyblock's end goal, at least the way I see it, is about creative expression and the ability to sculpt a world on a blank canvas. Predominantly, arguments on eco revolve around the market and while I'm not suggesting we cease all market-talk, I feel there has been a recent loss of the big-picture: that is, we are not on a competitive server, and we are playing this block game for fun.

If you want to create a welcoming atmosphere, then BE the welcoming atmosphere around you. This means showing compassion & politeness to not just those you like, but also those you don't like. With no disrespect meant, creating a post titled "stopping drama on eco" whilst being one of the members most often involved in drama (I don't care what side), no matter how well-intentioned, somewhat dampens its impact.

As Krissy said above, if you don't want to be around drama, then don't get yourself involved in drama. If eco chat is annoying you then turn it off, or hell... go outside lol

Hot take, if a server has a network, it should have dedicated staff to enforce rules on those servers and be invested in the players enough to help mediate issues there. There's a weird disconnect between staff and eco because they don't know the players that don't play /skyblock. I've heard that people on eco would apply to staff and get told "we don't know you" like that's an excuse. I play very regularly and I rarely see staff on, so it's no wonder that people feel comfortable breaking the rules because they know they won't get caught unless it's by chatguard.
