Hello! Have a quick question regarding joining skyblock survival and economy with friends. 2 of my friends are logged on and when a 3rd member tries to join to play together we get the following error message: "You have reached the maximum limit of (2) accounts logged in". Is there a limit to how many users can join the server? Or is there a workaround for this? We are based out of the same location IRL so am wondering if this is IP related. We own separate MC accounts though. Thanks!

Since you guys are connected through the same IP the server thinks you’re alts. There is a limit of 4 accounts in total in Skyblock and 2 accounts in total on Economy (per IP). I believe I've recently noticed that Skyblock has been picking up and also limiting to two accounts in total also - i’ll follow this up with the dev team. You can work around this by using a VPN or using connecting to a hotspot through mobile data (this will give you a different IP Address)

So with this information. It is ok to have more than 2 accounts online from 1 address as long as you use a VPN or mobile data.
This is news that will be great for myself and kitty if this is in fact ok to do as then we can have our alts online as well as our main accounts.
Right now we only use our main accounts as that is what we have been informed of before.
Can this be cleared up once and for all.
    Many thanks.

Seconding this, if I'm allowed to get an alt online without violating the rules that would be AMAZING. I'd love a confirmation on this, as we've both been playing without any alts for the last year.

On Eco, you can have one alt on without the use of a VPN (2 accounts total). That's always been the way.

Any more than 2 accounts at the same address, would have to belong to someone else and that would require a VPN. Which is what Luka was talking about.

The limits are noted in the server rules under ALTERNATE ACCOUNT LIMIT

Gary, my cousin, and I just VPN it when we all play eco together, in instances where it is clear you are different people (like my family, you two, for example) I don't think it's an issue so long as you're not overclaiming /gifts etc. Would like someone more in charge than me to confirm that positively, though.

Bri is correct - i don’t see a problem in evading the plugin if it’s for legitimate reasons.

Hi, I want to add on to ask a similarly-related question.

I have a second alt account that I would like to use for a friend who plays on a separate island to my own. Currently, my first alt account is hosted on a cloud server that afks on my farm island to passively generate money. My idea was to use my second alt (currently unused) to afk on my friend's island so that they can also get money. The structure of this means that the no-more-than-two-accounts-on-one-IP limit would be bypassed. It would provide no benefit to me whatsoever. However I am aware this a grey area as it is technically my account and one would have to trust my word that I'm not using it for my own benefit, so I wanted to ask if this would be allowed.

Of course, I know I could just give my friend the account details & have them use the account as their alt, and will likely do so if the answer is no, but given I have an existing cloud server that has capacity to run another player instance, I figured this could be a cost-effective solution.

    Thanks!

Thank you everyone for the clear answer! We don't have any alts, just my roommates and I wanting to play. I'll be OK on my end based on this, thanks again.

That is indeed a bit of a grey area. I think purely since we can’t prove that it won’t be used to benefit yourself without an extensive investigation regularly (which we cannot accomodate to), we wouldn’t be able to allow that.

Please note that we do not encourage account sharing as this may lead to further problems down the road.

For anyone else looking at this thread I’ve clarified with Noobcrew that the account limit of Skyblock is still four in total. Sometimes when attempting to join it will try limit you to two accounts but a work around for this is to keep connecting to the server. (eventually it will let you in)
