Hello thoughts, time to voice. Completely unrelated to this update but has to do with a previous update.

(environments give no benefit to the player besides aesthetic, basically a skin)

You pay real cash for "environments", which then you also have to pay 10 grass without any warning to turn them on/off, or even to switch between multiple environments you've purchased. Each environment cost's approx. $15-$20 each on the Skyblock Store.
I would rather not have to pay in-game currency to equip a skin I already purchased.

On the other hand "biomes" are different and you don't need to pay real cash to use, just in-game grass/currency - and they give bonuses you can earn grass with (froglights, corals, fish, blah blah). which is completely fine and perfect.

All I'm asking is why must I spend grass on something I paid for with cash? It's basically considered an in-game skin, right?
must i pay to equip my fortnite skin? heh

Anyways good day to everyone, and a Merry Christmas!
(i also had to pay 10 more grass to re-equip my environment :p) very nice

edit: Other environments have floating particles, and they show through walls, except the "Winter Wonderland" environment has "Snow Weather" which does not show through walls. Why not snow particles instead? Maybe some people want the snow effect indoors, or have Christmas platforms that are not exposed to sky, but want snowfall.

Regarding environments, there are a couple reports on them being bugged and causing chunks not to render and become un-enterable.
There has been little discussion on a fix for this and it doesn’t appear it’s being addressed. If there are known issues with environments then surely they should be removed from the webstore until they are fixed. I’m hoping to hear more on a fix for this issue soon else I will have to seek a refund through Tebex.

As I am well informed on this server I believe it is to prevent lag from continuously switching environments at no cost, while also being a deflationary measure for the economy. No support.

Our economy needs a lot, but definitely not a deflationary measure xD The first point is right tho, a good solution would be a cooldown for changing it instead of having to pay.

Environments aren't applied until the chunks are reloaded so I don't believe it causes any excess lag over that that which is already caused by reloading an island.

The extra cost is certainly not mentioned during the purchase of the environments so it shouldn't be there.

Oh I didn‘t realize that it doesn’t tell you that it costs 10g. I’ll assume it’s a bug then.

If you consider that 50 grass on the webstore costs $5.50, then 10 grass costs $1.10.
So not only does the environment cost about $20.00, it costs another $1.10 every single time you want to use/change it!
And when you have to pay to disable it because it is bugged, well, that hardly seems right.

Let's also add that the Winter Wonderland /environment also does not show the snowflakes. Thanks for reporting Q. I would've just taken the monetary loss and shrugged. XD

I completely agree with absolutely everything Quoken says. Quoken knows his stuff and fights crime. Quoken is big and strong and smart. Quoken is always right and everyone else is always wrong.

I definitely do not see why we have to pay to change something we already bought, from the skyblock shop. I understand the regular biomes but this just doesn't feel right

It’s like buying a TV and having to pay to change channels.

I mean, you have to pay for the TV provider right? Sky, Netflix, etc? That's a recurring payment

Those have recurring payments because it’s ever changing content. That not a good analogy.

Was just a bug and you could still change it without grass in your inventory however if you had enough it'd take 10. This should be fixed now.
You need to enable Rain/Snowfall on your island and not have any pweather active. As the settings suggest it simply changes the biome weather from rain to snow.
