Resolved Two-factor authentication AND Two-step verification

    Heya,

    Just realised there are two options for MFA on the forums, 2FA and 2SV. Both seem to serve the same purpose - creation of a QR code for an authenticator app.

    Is one legacy? Should one be used over the other?

    If I'm not mistaken 2SV let's you authenticate with a code sent to your registered email as opposed to 2FA, though you can have both active. You will have to enter a new code every 30 days if you're on the same device
