Hi, I've recently joined, got an island going (Survival), learned that I had started all wrong, so reset my island to start fresh with that new knowledge. However, with the challenges not resetting it makes it much harder to progress on this new island. I understand that people could Challenge Harvest if this were allowed without restriction. Can I suggest that you allow a single complete reset once, that is the same as an island refresh (including clearing inventory), but also challenges are reset as well. It could be that this is only allowed within a short time of first joining, but really a single reset isn't worth harvesting given the cost of a minecraft account. Thanks for your consideration.
I truly understand your point, and I do agree with it being harder to reset without the challenges resetting as that's a way to progress. Although, I must see the other side of this. It'd be easy to farm this and collect your player head over and over again or other rewards such as skeleton head. However! I think there could be something in between, that most of the challenges reset that give you some iron, some grass, and some other useful stuff so it is not as tempting to abuse reset. Of course, it would still be punishable to do so, but it would be way less tempting if you did not receive a skeleton skull / your player head. If other thinks it is still farmable, it is, but then you can island farm or whatever. It is still punishable and it's not as rewarding farming challenges to receive like 10 grass
Yes, I understand the harvesting problem, which is why I suggested that it is allowed once per user. That's not enough to make it worthwhile at any serious amount but really helpful to people starting out.
No support. As others have said, people would abuse the skeleton skull challenge if it was able to be reset.
The whole suggestion is based on being able to reset the challenges therefore making it a more than a one-time thing.
It's won for completing challenge #30 killing mobs, once you've killed 25 of each type, it doesn't count any further kills, reseting vhallanges would have to then reset mob kill counts too. And there's also the option then to farm player heads with multiple alts being made much easier if they can simply start the challenges over again and keep the preexisting rewards
