Heya a few days ago someone came to my island and shot some fire arrows on my mapart that is being displayed, even though it did not destroy the maps the fire was hiding a part of the map behind it so I think it would be nice to have an island setting to disable Arrow shots and or projectiles all together. I honestly thought disabling projectiles completely was already a setting so definite support on this one!
I spent hours making an archery minigane where players could aim at target blocks to activate different redstone interactions, only to find players cant actually shoot at target blocks. Be great if turning projectiles on would enable target blocks, separately from the redstone settings Either way I support this
I know Mwiemarc has a mini game where people shot at target blocks. Idk if he must trust people to do this but I don’t think so. And I don’t see it differing from server to server. You might wanna reach out to him
Target blocks fall under the redstone category toggle. That also includes repeaters note blocks comparators etc. I don't want to enable repeaters comparators etc. Only target blocks because non trusted players could interact the same way shooting a bell does, but not being able to ring the bell by hand if not trusted. Instead I've used observers with string which limits my ideas. No biggie, just disappointed when I found out players couldn't interact by shooting the targets
Something else that could work, is simply remove the fire arrows after they hit where they're aimed at. Normal arrows despawn right away once fired. With the exception of spectre arrows which the player can pick back up again. Fire arrows seem to be left out of this settings. So once fired. The arrow hits the target, aka your map art, may show for a couple seconds. Then burns out and is removed from game. Could be better than working out every kind of projectile to stop
