Could this be possible? There are so many highrollers now the chats flooded with yellows, this is a great thing, although a lot of us would like to see a newer rank introduced to economy, coloured prefixes, second spawns, and other perks would be really appreciated
That’s interesting. We had the ability to color our names for almost half of a decade, probably a bit longer actually, and it got removed allegedly because Economy doesn’t have a $200 - $250 rank? I mean, lol, i’d waste another $150 to upgrade if it came with some cool stuff like that.
As far as I can tell none of the economy ranks advertise that you can color your name. The only rank that advertises it is Skytitan on survival. If it was available in the past on economy I'm unsure why.
Correct, none of them do. That’s the purpose of this suggestion. I’m confused on what you mean by this. Economy players had the ability to color our nicks for almost 8 years, it’s relatively new that we aren’t able to. Don’t quote me on this, but I would estimate that we lost this feature around 2021, after 7-9 years of previously having the ability to. Did we have that ability the entire time without any reason/knowledge of the developers, or are you unsure about something else relating to it? We, as an Economy community, think this feature would actually make Highroller more worth the $100 as it’s lacking greatly right now.
I'm for this idea. First, it used to be a feature so why remove it entirely without finding a way to replace the option? Secondly, I think the chat is currently difficult to read due to a lack of diversity in the chat. With everyone being the same colors as everyone else in their rank and highrollers being the most active part of the community, this means people with remotely similar length names just blend together. Allowing people to add color to their names will help the eyes separate each name effectively to monitor the chat better. This serves it's purpose in moderation too, where being able to differentiate text is highly important. (Not saying they are messing up as it, just declaring an ease of use increase.)
And that opinion is perfectly valid. I should have been quick to note that my comment was preference and for sure people are free to agree/disagree.

Honestly, this is a great idea. I think the only reason people have been against this is because they personally don’t want to see colors all across chat like they do in SB. For those people, a simple command to turn it off would be perfect. But for the Eco players that don’t go on SB, we never get to see colors. I think this ability to remove the colors would tailor to everybody and remove all issues with this feature. Great idea JAWD.
Well if they made a $200 equivalent on Eco then it would be possible See this as a win win for everyone, Crew gets more money and we finally get coloured eco names
Here's a recent screenshot that I took yesterday. I get that having multiple names with full rainbows could not be appealing to everybody's eye, but how is this any better? In my opinion, and I get that it's just an opinion and others could feel completely opposite than I do, but I feel as this single color for everybody within this rank bothers my eye more than the alternative. While I'm on this topic, I think the "rainbow vomit" would be a reasonable thought if everybody's IGN was along the lines of "Survivors" - But that is something that rarely happens. Dating back to 2013, I have never seen the majority of people with colored names have rainbow names. A lot of people use designs with set color ways, or something that isn't too drawn out and hard to read. For example, I had many nicknames during my stint with the colored option, some include: "Survivors" (The 'ors' is white, and in-game this is very easy to read), "xSurvivors" At any given time, the majority of players on Economy are Highrollers, which leads to the chat being filled with them. (At this given moment, there are 32 Highrollers online, 8 Elites, 3 VIP's, and 2 Premiums. (There are 25 non-donors, but I'm sure a good portion of them are alts) As a Minor in Graphic Design with thousands of hours of Photoshop Experience due to my job, I plan on taking another SS of chat with the current yellow-names, and then asking each person through /msg to send a nickname they'd potentially use if/when this color feature gets added. I would then photoshop that into the SS i took. I get I could just send one of the many screenshots from 2012-2018ish, but that's dated. The vast majority of the playerbase would love the feature to colorize our names back, and I think that's something that could potentially pursue more players into purchasing Highroller.
I think it would be nice for eco to have this, I also believe it would only be fair to match the value SB players have to pay for that perk. A new rank would be the best way without causing grievances from SB people having to pay $150+ more to have the same thing.

4 months later *bump* At this current moment, there are 105 players online and 46 of those are Highrollers. *Nearly* 50% of the players. Another screenshot of an example that the majority of players having the same colored name makes it a little hard to read , it looks like I posted one previously. I get the arguments that a rainbow-filled chat may be hard to read as well, but the number of people that will have a legit rainbow name is limited. For the 8-ish years that we had the colored-name ability, we didn't have a "rainbow-filled chat." Just thought I'd give a little bump!
