Long time no bump >.>

As of Sunday, I am officially graduated from highschool, so that's neat. On that note, that means I can now be more active finally, as I was on quite the period of inactivity.

How has it been 2 years already… I refuse to believe this time length. Im still in support of Bann (Formerly known as vorty) becoming a helper in the skyblock kingdom. The other day I was present as he made treaty between Canada and Japan!
Jokes aside this guy is awesome and im suprised hes waited for 2 long years get this man hired!

 

It’s funny to see that people with an application open for a month with half your supports gets added immediately, goes to show it’s a popularity contest. Re-support. Staff should be ashamed of themselves. 2 years.

 

That's how it has always worked sadly, and it should change but it's most likely not going to. If the mentor program actually came to be like it was promised for 1+ years and talked about constantly, Vorty most likely would be a part of the team, as well as some other applicants, as they would've had proper training and conversations with a super mod mentor and be able to show their capabilities of working on a team, and their own additions they can bring.

When you have a certain super moderator promising the mentor program for 1+ years barely responding to DM's, then sends a group message to all the applicants about the program, then goes inactive again (still is) and never sends another update or message to the applicants, that's the issue. Nothing was ever done about that from the higher ups, no explanation was given, it was just totally abandoned due to someone not being able to fulfill a promise they made over a year ago for a simple program, as most applicants were being overlooked with applications open for years, not even being able to get the oppurtunity to see what they can bring. So all these applicants were left with nothing, and have already lost confidence at that point, I'm glad to see that Vorty is still applying, but I can tell they've been through a lot with empty promises just by the events that have happened in the past few yeras.

Everything should've been handled better, and when brought up to the Higher ups was just totally disregarded for trying to harp on someone's 1+ year inactivity, there's obviously some issues with the staff team that has been around for years now when a simple mentoring program can't come to be because someone is way too busy to be apart of the team, just give it to someone else that can handle the responsibility and time so these applicants are able to actually show the team what they are capable of, instead of having a birds eye view of just chat messages sent to help players, actually get to talk to these applicants. The team just left all these applicants un notified and unnoticed and that does suck.

Anyways, that's just something that has always bothered me and some other applicants, and I did bring it up because I totally feel like the mentoring program would've given the oppurtunity for Vorty to become a part of the team by now and directly corolates with this application as it would most likely be closed by now. I still support this and I really have never seen an application open this long, to the point where the applicant truly deserves it, and it's a shame the team overlooks these types of applicants that are still going strong after barely getting any recgonition, not knowing any reasons why they aren't on the team after 2+ years, and not having the proper mentor program that would've made applicants like Vorty ready to be on the team as a Helper to see what they are capable of.

I'm glad to see that Vorty is a Discord Moderator though, that usually means they are being considered for the staff team position, however, this should've happened a very long time ago, and I'm glad Vorty has not thrown in the towel as most people would've by now if they had barely any answers in the past 2 years.

 

Maybe they have a reason to not promote a player to Helper role, but this should be stated to the player as soon as they made this decision so it doesn't give them false hope, if that's the case.

 

It was decided a month after this was posted. Staff are too busy to deny the application.

 

2 years application, no reasoning with a support count far greater than most newly accepted counterparts and a ratio of support:no-support better than almost every recent accepted applicant is ridiculous.

Placing my bet on 2025 being the year you finally get a response! Hopefully we get one soon though, and it’s a much deserved positive one

 

These applications are truly pointless because at the end the of the day the only thing that matters is if the staff team like you or not.

 

Hopefully the dream comes true soon Vorty.

 

If he wasnt ready to be staff 2 years ago he should have been denied. He can always reapply later when he feels ready.

 

Or maybe the staff have a process that they have found works, through trial and error, and those of us outside it should realize that our "they should x" opinions may not be founded on a basis of reality.

I'm upset that I never got to see you join the staff team, your long-term dedication to this application, forums, discord, in-game, etc. has been tremendous and appreciated. In my 7 years here, I've never supported an applicant as much as you, I've been a Vorty supporter since I first met you. I know you've had some alternative reasons for closing this and leaving, but I can only imagine what could've been if the mentor program actually was followed through, and you got some answers to your long waited application. It really sucks that this is the type of process the staff has to join the team, and shame on those who have been overlooking applicants and applications such as Vorty for a very long period of time, as you would've provided a ton to the team and the community, while being active on all platforms.
