The TPS of Economy is floats between 10 and 12 for most of the day! It would be great if this could be brought up closer to 20 as it used to be. It's there briefly after restart but not for long.
ECO TPS is at 2 rn for the past 15 minutes, causing me to get kicked for spamming even though i'm just sending someone a message
It would be great however unfortunately we can't just flip a switch to achieve this. The consistent TPS drop is simply caused by players with big farms overloading the server (ignoring the recent lag spikes to 2-4 TPS which are being caused by something else). More limitations (like a lowered simulation distance, spawner nerfs, entity nerfs, etc.) would be necessary to increase the overall performance however we know that most players won't be happy with such changes. We are aware that it's an issue and we'll try to find a solution that makes everyone somewhat happy.
By ‘big farms’, I assume you mean cropper farms because that’s kind of the end goal of all players in which case we can expect it to get worse.
Tps when there is piston pumpkin farms Tps when there is flush farms Tps when there is cropper farms Tps when the entire server gets booted because it crashed
Seems the solution to improving gameplay is to not play the game as it’s meant to be played. Hopefully you can find a fix Dexuby.
Low-key fed up with breaking blocks for them to reappeared and take for ever to break, and breaking crystals that reapear and break with the budding amethyst too
We're at 2.2 TPS again only 90 minutes after the restart with only 30 players online. This needs attention.
1 hour into the server reboot and hit 2 tps and staying there. could an island be causing massive problems as it was fine then just dropped. could someone plz look into the islands that were on until 1pm uk time today. something not right to have it drop 18 tps like that.
Nothing player related. Some third-party plugin that sometimes fails to save data properly during chunk unloads. The developer claims that they fixed said issue now and we've deployed the updated version.
I don’t know if many people use lvl1 or lvl2 croppers but what if you just have one cropper that collects all crops at 1 item per second but sale price of crops is tripled so that income is the same. Manual sale prices stay the same to prevent players going back to the manual farming methods. Then the max farm size becomes 1/3rd of what it is now. You could increase the cost of dirt to 3 times so the actual farm still costs the same. (Although it would likely lead to island farming) For those with established farms that would have too many levels, could staff selectively delete layers and then credit those owners for the cost of the deleted dirt? The only loss to those players is the time lost for having placed it all initially. More and more people are playing Eco lately and the number of people online often match that of Skyblock. Everyone is building large farms so it’s going to get worse.
Wouldnt 1 hopper that collects crops in a certain area reduce lag? Instead of changing dirt price, max farm size, everyones income and players getting mad that they wasted time building a farm. Could put 9 t3 croppers into a crafting for 1 cropper that covers 3x3 chunks (9 total) being centered on whatever chunk its placed in. Would also have to change it to collect 27 items per second ofc
I don't think it's the croppers but the growth of the crops that is causing the lag so the idea is to reduce the farm size. It also wouldn't reduce players income, it would remain the same. What is reducing players income is the low TPS. Fewer ticks per second means fewer ticks that crops might grow which means fewer crops. Yes, if your farm ended up too big, then you will have wasted time building it, but you can be happy that you spent a lot of time building a big farm that lags the server and makes you earn less, or we can have a less laggy server.
I understand what you're talking about but I cant be bothered to destroy close to 20 layers. I highly doubt staff will delete dirt and refund players.
I'm sure Dex does a great deal to keep the server running well, If this were a potential fix for a problem that is only likely to grow, I suspect the staff would be more than willing to lend a hand.
