Introduction
Hello, My name is Austin, I have been playing on the server for 2 years come 12/20/23 . I am 20 years old and sky block has been my Minecraft-go-to game mode since I've been 12, While not originally starting out on this server I found it while searching for a new server to play on and it has been pretty much the only server I play on since I've found it! This server has became a second home to me outside of my work and normal life and when I have nowhere to go; this is where I end up because I love coming up with new projects and always seem to find a way to stay in chat even if I'm not actively building while home because of my love for fellow players and interacting with people. I have been an active member within the communities since December of 2021 allowing me to have a strong insight to the servers issues, problems, how to help people out and how to engage with the community to make people feel heard

What time zone are you in?
My Timezone is Eastern Standard time or Eastern daylight time (GMT-4) (NYC Time)

Can you speak any additional languages?
I can only speak fluently in English but have limited knowledge of words, greetings, and phrases in additional languages such as Spanish(my partner is fluent) and French as well as having the google translate app downloaded to my phone for any needed situations.

Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence?
I have knowledge of how to use f3 for any screenshots I may need to take, QuickTime on my Mac for any screen recording to take and I am well-versed in how to use discord and forums for replying to any possible reports that may arise

How long can you be active on our platforms everyday?
I am typically online around 3-4+ hours on days that I work. Days that I dont work I'd say my average is around 6-8+ hours. That being said, I dont spend all my time on my Minecraft, But I can always be active or on discord when im needed in order to jump into the game or forward the issue or help request to another staff member that may be available at that time. I am typically logged in to Discord/Skyblock at the same time and use my forums account alongside those and platforms and I am on daily to check in and drop suggestions or comment any on concerns that may arise if need be! I have had problems forgetting to log on in the past but my forums account is over a year old and I've had discord for over 3 years because I use it to talk to friends. I feel as if now, Ive shown my availability to be able to show up when I'm needed and I feel as if any inactivity that others may see, Is most likely based on the fact that im not in-game 24/7. That being said, My willingness to help doesn't fade just because I'm more busy now then when I first applied! I will still show up and out when Im needed!

When did you first join Skyblock?
My first time joining was December 22, 2021 on Economy, While I had recently have came back when I posted this after a break for a few months due to some personal matters regarding family, I still play every day at this point! I do not plan on leaving this server because honestly, Its the only Minecraft community I'm involved in and love the people that I've became friends with and see myself going no where else, At least not daily and I for sure dont have the time to put into much else besides this server

Have you ever been banned on any platform?
I have never been banned on any platform or other server. I do not like to cause problems and have had no problems with following rules on this server, I have not been punished in the past on the server because I believe the rules have purpose so I follow them and encourage others to do the same

Do you have any past moderation experience?
I have limited experience with moderating in the past but know basic level commands to help moderate chat such as /kick, /mute, as well as a few other commands Ive found out through research via tab with a / in chat before pressing tab. I am willing to learn anything that I may be lacking and can reach out through discord if anything arises that I may need help for due to often have an easy time learning things related to Minecraft.

Why do you think you should become a staff member?

Reliability
While I do afk, I often announce it and plan on, having a separate alt for afk for /skyblock as I use mine on economy often these days, In order to not appear as if I'm there when I may not be. That being said, When I'm on my computer; I am active in chat and on discord throughout the day and am available often 4-6+ hours a day, I have been sure to turn on notifications for help threads and while they are often responded to by other players fast, I plan on turning on mod-help notifications if I receive the position and any other notification for channels I may need in order to help others

Trustworthiness and respectfulness
In the past, I have been offered multiple opportunities for promotion in roles both on Minecraft and real life. Ive been the first choice for 2 of my friends servers when looking for mods in the past, one of which I took for a few months around age 15. In my past job at chipotle; I was a trainer, supervisor, and kitchen manager all before age 18, advancing to assistance manager by 19 and breaking records for both my store and district. Due to this, (bragging about my personal life when it has nothing to due with Minecraft I know but hear me out here) I know a thing or two about a power structure and know that no matter who you are- your position does not matter without giving respect to everyone.

Availability
While my schedule at work is set based off days- start and end times fluctuate giving me a range of times I could be online I am typically active between 12pm-3am est. With schedule times at my job fluctuating this also includes possibility of shift being removed same day giving me more time to play Minecraft. Often when I am on, I interact in chat just out of boredom and catch lots of things happening that is sometimes against the rules; I typically try to get staff involved or take a screenshot for proof if they appear to be afk or unavailable.

Experience
I have knowledge of staff commands and I am well aware of the server rules. I have extensive knowledge on how things work on Economy and Skyblock giving me great opportunities to be of service to players new and old. The other server mentioned earlier where I started playing skyblock 8 years ago was also set up on an Economy plugin . I also have 2 1/2 years experience being on a management team in my real life and dealing with problems that may affect visitors. I have always been willing to adapt to any situation and personal changes I may need to in order to reach my goals which led to my experiences in life.

Community Engagement
I am of great assistance to new players and old players alike! My favorite thing to do when I dont have much to do is helping out others with questions they may have or helping with their builds; when I'm not grinding for gold! Which often am near the chat when grinding (unless afk) to still be able to respond if I'm needed!

Multitasking
Due to listening to lots of music or looking for inspiration for builds as well as being an small TikTok creator (You can say what you want about that, whatever, I know) as a side hustle, I'm often on my browser and have multiple apps on my screen at the same time because I often dont use full screen this gives me an upper hand in being able to reply to forums as well as discord often, I also have discord notifications active on my computer and phone at all times so I'm very easy to get in contact with!

Ambition
When accepting any leadership position in the past I have strived in my position due to my willingness to listen, adapt and work with my other team members. I often try to come up with ways to improve satisfaction or make things easier for everyone and I am a very good problem solver when I am needed to be.

Engagement
I am very active in the community amongst the servers and discord and love making friends on the server; many of with I share conversations with on discord and have created a connection with other players due to this. I am positive if I am chosen to be apart of the team I will be able to maintain these relationships in a positive way to encourage others to ask for help with anything that may come up while I am online and encourage everyone to follow the rules and be respectful

Accountability
I have always been someone who tries to always follow the rules to avoid getting reprimanded to encourage well maintained relationships with those who are on the same level as me and those who are in charge. I am self accountable as well as keeping others to that same standard.

First app I deleted and reposted because of no one rly viewing it, Second I deleted bc of a long convo in the post making the thread way longer than it should've been. I have been told that I'm allowed to "reapply" at any given time, and as I make improvements to myself and take in consideration peoples suggestions I refreshed the app but looking back I could've just had staff clean it up a bit if needed. My first one was back on April 1st and had like 2 replies after 3-4 weeks?

Unfortunately I have to agree somewhat with LeoSteel. I put off neutraling your application because I think you’re very kind and friendly and I enjoy talking with you immensely- I was hoping to wait long enough to be able to support your prior application, or this new one I guess? I agree with Trin somewhat as well that deletion and recreation was not the way to go- if no one is responding to your application, I would guess it’s because not enough people know enough about you either way to provide feedback. I usually refrain from commentary on applicants for whom I don’t have enough information to give a useful response either way.

I think you’re helpful on economy, active and friendly in the chat when you’re on. That’s great. I’m always happy to see you on And I do see you sometimes on survival (I believe we are in the same time zone), but the problem is a lack of chat activity and helpfulness there. In fact, I recall a PM exchange on survival with you from only a week or two ago, during which time I was helping you with something rather basic on there.

I think you WILL be a good candidate for staff later on once you’ve dedicated time to knowing survival in and out. The changes post update on there are much more difficult to wrestle with! If you ever want some help getting up to speed, I would be happy to hit VC with you some nights and teach you some of the smaller, more persnickety things that will be useful.
