Hey guys,

I would like to know how I can play on the v2.1 in 1.19.2 ?

At the moment biomes are bugged and I find myself only having windswept forest in the Overworld and nether wastes in the Nether, which f*s me up because that means I don't have access to special mob farms (magma cube one etc)

Is there any way for me to convert the world correctly so that biomes update right or will I need to play in 1.16 (or find a convoluted way to change things myself)

this server currently works on 1.12.2 meaning you can't have anything from other versions you load on your launcher. The server "decides" what items/biomes exist. Though a version update of the server to 1.19.2 was promised and is hopefully coming soon!

 

And what about playing in single player ? I find myself with the same biome problem but if an update was promised in multiplayer I guess a solution exists

 

They’re talking about the singleplayer download worlds.

I recommend playing on the world in 1.12 or earlier so that biomes load correctly, then launching it in a later version so that these biomes transfer/update as normal. Iirc the downloads havent been updated since 2012 (or version 1.6) so there’ll be some iffy stuff.

If you want more customisation to suit the world to your needs you can use a program called MCEdit (findable through a Google search) to change biomes and modify other parts of the world.
