I feel like it can get pretty annoying at times? To be honest it does not bother me when someone is asking for donations or items... but if they feel straight up entitled to your riches and choose to be rude about it when you say no, then they don't really deserve it anyway, do they? I think that there is a difference between asking for help, and begging, almost? I guess for me it just depends on what the person is asking for, and how they handle rejection or being ignored. If you're a decent person asking for help or donations, I know someone would love to help you! If you're demanding, then I know people will be hesitant.

Excessive begging should be punishable with mutes.

I'd say if you can prove that someone is excessively and annoyingly demanding for items from multiple people it should be a punishable offence. It's already frowned upon but don't think I've seen it punished really.

    Begging usually stems from:

    A) People looking to scam you

    or

    B) People who are too lazy to bother trying on the server and spend their time demanding items all day

Something that might fix it is having more incentive for newer players to keep playing. Currently the server is directed towards players who not only have to enjoy Skyblock to begin with (which is already niche in itself), but also those who care enough to work super hard for their items. What might help is adding reasons for new players to stick around by giving extra rewards early on to help them progress a little faster. That or potentially have some more in game related events like the Vote Party that incentivize them to stay online more often and rather than bothering players, receive items from the server. Hopefully the new update might provide some of these solutions and potentially be more appealing to a newer crowd of players.

Big support. Muting at the very least should be a fitting punishment for constant begging. I could name a few who beg all day everyday, lots of people could name current beggars. Constant enough for it to be seen as punishable, at least.
