Closed SB Limit Reached/ clag

    The normal Clear Lag gives a sixty second warning, could Limit Reach possible give us a twenty second warning? It is very frustrating , time and effort.

    I wish they’d just lower the /sell all time limit of 45 seconds. When clag is going nuts after the server restarts, it’s a major indicator that something needs tweaking. How will the server keep up as the farms grow in size and more players join?

    Honestly even just increasing the clag limit also makes sense too. We hit it with such regularity, and it's not like anyone is going out of their way to create entities, it's just a natural evolution of the existing tools and incentives we have available to us.

    This doesn’t fix the underlying issue.
    Drogo has in the past suggested a balance hopper or ‘bopper’ that collects crops and just adds balance to the island owner at the /shop rate. Most of the time that’s where it ends up anyway. A cropper setting could be added where they either moved crops as normal or sells for balance.
    Even if people are selling everything or has overflow into lava, the number of entities in waterways alone gets quite large.
    Entity count has to come down as the servers TPS is suffering.

    Clear lag and max entities is an issue we are aware of and something that will be looked into! :)

    That isn’t my decision to make, it’s a good suggestion and the countdown can fill chat but I see pros and cons. It’s something that can be considered.
    I just wanted to inform you all that we are aware of the clear lag issue being and prominent as it is on Economy at the moment :)

    First, Thanks Megan for all that you do.
    I'll beat the horse one more time even though I know it's dead. I've notice quite often SB Limit Reach occurs within 90 seconds of Clag sometimes right at Clag. Clag seems to be about every ten minutes (I swear it it seem shorter than that) and the SB Limit Reach occurs twice in that time period.
    I know there's a lot of variables (not steady state) but just a simplistic temporary suggestion I have is for Clag to occur twice as often.

    Clear lag timer I believe is every 8 minutes.
    Economy is struggling with it's clear lag, that isn't news to any of us at this point.

    I have mentioned this on another thread but I will copy it here too:

    Upon looking around and using what commands I have here is what I’ve found regarding clear lag.

    1. Players auto-sell not selling
    2. Players who auto-sell have died and can no longer sell
    3. Large farms loaded with no one at the AFK spot
    4. Too large of a farm to have their inventory’s sold within the cool-down for sell all
    5. Varied designs for collection systems

    This is something that will be an issue for as long as we have the amount of AFK farms we do.

    Somethings that all players can be wary of is:

    1. Ensure their sell command timer is set to a reasonable number
    2. Have a lava system or chest collection system for the items that cannot be collected into their inventory, that way they won’t stay as ground entities
    3. Ensure when they go AFK they have the command active
    4. Try their best to find ways to not die.

    Even if you are dead, the chunks remain loaded and consequently entities are still present and increasing with no player to collect them.

    This is just something that again, will be seen as a temporary bandaid at first but I promise you, if all players make the necessary adjustments, clear lag won't be such a issue as it is now.
    I am aware this isn't a fix to the issue or an answer to the suggestion but it's something people who experience lag troubles can attempt to try.
    Changes made now, make QoL better for us all!

    Looks like the Bopper is going to be a thing!!
    But Profit shops may die as a result.
