Although I agree that it is upsetting to not win anything. These items are rares. They are meant to be hard to get. And a collectable item. If every player who logs on gets one there goes the collectibility of those items. I don’t know if you saw but at the end of the dp. Crew gave away several in game items like legendary keys. To some players who did not win anything. Another thing to point out. You by no means have to stay active during the dp. I never am, I always log onto the server then do some cleaning or watch tv and come back when it’s done. It is a fun event, this complaining and moaning over not getting FREE items is quite annoying.

What a method of getting people on and *active* at the same time! I'm sorry my "complaints" annoy you, feel free to ignore me next time. ;)

P.S. I'm sure the "rarity" of the objects would plummet after changing the amount of items spawned from 200 to the amount of individuals in the drop party (in this case, 300-ish). Pretty lazy reasoning to keep the current system in place. If you're worried about the rarity, at least give people who don't win some grass blocks and voter keys because they would have at least gotten those from being in their respected server anyway.

I think to wrap up this thread I want to acknowledge that for me there were a lot of unseen factors that would make this system flawed. Distribution of event tokens would be very hard to make fair, it always would favor people with alts, or people who are able to afk, or people who have known about the server longer. There are certainly some simpler solutions. One being that people that play on the server a lot will just be able to buy the heads themselves. Another is a great idea people have mentioned which is to have a minimum on the player playtime between drop parties to participate. Lastly I'd like to give one more idea which would be the simplest of them all. For players worried about rarity as if 300 vs 200 is really going to make a difference, certain heads should just be dropped more or less than others. That way there are still rares but everyone gets something. Also you can build up hype for the rare heads and introduce more nuance to the head economy.

The main drop party isn't supposed to be fair, it's an event where you can potentially get a really valuable item, this process is completely random and it should stay that way. Players who didn't win a head at the drop party can still get one from the head hunt afterwards. We will introduce new systems that will address those issues. (Players only logging in for the dp or using alts)

From what I've read here and hears I've seen a lot about old players coming back purely for the dp.
I completely see where others are coming from regarding that but from my perspective we have to remember this is a game. I don't particularly see anything wrong with someone coming purely for the dp, if they find it fun that's the whole point of it, it's a fun event to celebrate something!
Lots of people enjoy seeing older players come back for it, it's a prime opportunity to reconnect where communication may have fallen apart.

Just something I thought would be nice to think about :)
