If this is true, then /shop could probably be set up to only buy back /shop bought dirt. But given Economy has bigger issues, such as shop prices, this won’t be looked at.
I agree with all of this, as a new player the only way to make money is to use profit shops. It's almost sad that when new people join and ask how do you make money no one says to start a farm, everyone just says profit shop. Buffing things like cooked beef, eggs, leather, seeds and snowballs (etc) could be the start of a new era of new player farms that you would not easily be able to mass-produce by wealthy players because it is a player interaction and/or capped by mob limit.
I have been playing eco a little recently, and one of the major things I've noticed is the prices of the crops, compared to how pumpkins and melons sell, I feel like other crops/food should have way higher sell prices, Support.
Yeah that's kinda the nature of economy servers is that everyone is gonna figure out the "best" route to take. But it would be nicer if there were more options for newer players to make money - because at the moment, profit shops are by far the best way to make money if you're new and it's not even close.
Supply and demand usually dictates prices in an economy. With pumpkins and melons, /warp shop creates infinite demand and crop hoppers allow for infinite supply. While this can’t be changed, other items need to have prices raised and be made available to sell at /warp shop. Things like wood, stone, etc. 1 hours effort should equal X skybucks for anything produced. And X+Y skybucks if it’s not a product that can be gathered purely AFK.
I'd like to re-support and reiterate my original comments about each shop price here : ) many of these should probably be even higher than I stated considering how much less now bal is worth
Support, a change in this would do a lot of good to the server. Would be cool to have multiple different crops to pursue and make appropriate money for the effort needed to farm the item.
To add further evidence as to how out of wack prices are, you would need to mine and autosell about 4000 stone per minute, and then smelt the iron and gold you got in order make the same income as AFKing a maxed pumpkin farm. 4000 STONE PER MINUTE! Still no comments from staff. Maybe we should all start counting to 50. At least those nonsense threads get some staff input.
Wow, I wouldn't have expected numbers like that, but thanks for your comparison! Sad but true. I start: 1
Please do not count to 50 on suggestion threads such as this. This is considered spam and post farming and can lead to punishment. Instead, please leave constructive criticisms, explain why you agree or disagree with the suggestion, or leave a support/neutral/no support rating if you have no feedback to give. Thanks! More info about responding to suggestions can be found here.
KhalDrogo Looks like the counting worked! Hopefully in the near future we can get some input on the suggestion I would like to reiterate the intention of this suggestion for old time's sake! -Pumpkins and Melons are currently the only crops worth farming. This is Skyblock Economy. Not pumpkin farming simulator. -The current sell prices for crops with the /sell commands and at /warp shop are incredibly imbalanced and do not reflect the time it takes to harvest crops/mob drops that can't be picked up by crop hoppers. (This is coming from someone who has a pumpkin farm with 100,000 dirt in it. I do not think crops that can be collected automatically should sell for more than crops that must be manually harvested.) -Inflation due to overpowered sell prices will kill the server if not handled in a timely manner. New players can get millions in mere days by AFKing public droppers such as the ones at /visit MangoChilli. Players love the server and would hate to see its economy ruined by a lack of attention!
I understand your comment and how the prior counting comments were not quite called for but, many had left constructive criticism and suggestions before that chain of counting started. Although all of those comments were left unacknowledged or replied to. You have to see their point as well, because right now you are the only staff comment and it was purely because of the counting. I completely agree with the thread and I think it is kinda dumb that none of the staff has given any input, even if it were to explain how changing prices could be a bit more difficult than just doing it.
