I will be going through this appeal as there are some things that need to be said.

Firstly if you didn't do something wrong then there would be no need to hand out a punishment. There would be no concern about punishment length or severity if you did the right thing. So if you liked to participate in giveaways and use the discord then you would not do anything to jeopardise that. It is clearly stated in the rules what we expect and we have an entire code of conduct which you have failed to read even though you have said you have read the rules.

The reason for your ban is simple. In the span of one day you:
- Were warned for making threats
- Were muted for refusing to listen to staff when they gave you an instruction to drop a topic
- Then banned for extremely disrespectful behaviour towards a staff which included using a homophobic slur that is completely inappropriate and not tolerated in our community. The ban had to take place because you were using voice chats and nicknames (possibly can change your actual name) to harass someone and we are not going to remove your perms one by one just so you don't do something.

So lets go over why this is wrong since you seem to be unaware.
It is inappropriate to make threats to anyone in the community. This is outlined in the code of conduct. Threats of any kind makes this community unsafe.
It is an offence not to listen to a staff member. If you disagree with the staff members actions you take proof and seek a second opinion but you do not disobey. Dropping a topic is easy and requires a person to just talk about something unrelated.
It is an offence to bypass a mute and disrespect others, use profanity on the discord to insult others and troll
It is a major offence to use homophobic slurs

The problem with your appeal lies in the fact you aren't taking responsibility for everything you did. Punishment length is not a valid excuse. Bargaining for a lower punishment isn't taking responsibility and if you did the wrong thing, which you are saying you are sorry for then you would know the punishment isn't incorrect. If you have read the rules then you chose to ignore them and it doesn't matter how angry you get it also is not an excuse.

And if you aren't making excuses and are just apologising then your appeal also doesn't give me much hope that you actually are going to change.
By creating an appeal the person must be willing to completely change their behaviour and we must be confident this will happen. In your case you are suggesting that we mute and restrict your nickname perms to control your behaviour when you should be able to do this yourself.

Your apology should go directly to Boba as he cannot see this appeal. I will not take the apology as part of the appeal as without the person involved seeing it then it is not meaningful.

I have a few questions now that you need to answer sincerely and without any excuses:
- Do you think its appropriate to harass staff when you get in trouble for things you did?
- Do you think homophobic language is funny or appropriate to use?
- Do you really understand our rules?
- Why was your ban correct?

 

At this time I will consult with the banning mod and staff to decide how to proceed from their knowledge.

We are glad that you have used this experience to reflect on your actions however somethings are not easily undone and the behaviour displayed overtime has made it hard to trust you are suitable to be part of the community.

At this point you are free to use the forums and prove us wrong and that you enjoy being here and your actions don't reflect you anymore.
