I suggest to disable all alts from running /lot buy due to the fact that it would rig it because more of the same person are doing it at the same time.
If this does get implemented, to log alts, on login they would type the name of their alts then when they do their main account has access to /lot buy.
This would help a TON with fair lotteries and not more accouns rigging it.
If you want, you can also disable all MCLeaks accounts from doing /lot buy overall.
If someone suggested this already, then my bad. You can decline this post if so.

honestly i think it's okay to have a bunch of alts being a part of lottery. in reality, let's say:

person 1 -> uses 3 accounts for lottery which maybe accounts for 6 grass
person 2 -> uses 1 account and only uses 1 grass

if this is the case, if person 1 wins, they just make a profit of 1 grass since they're winning ALL of their grass back so it doesn't make much of a difference, however for person 2, if they won, they'd make 7 grass in total.

having more accounts guarantees a higher chance at winning, but doesn't actually guarantee a win itself.

i'm not sure if this makes sense but i feel like the system is okay as it is and that even though it seems unfair, it may actually work more in favour towards people without alts than with them.

What mai says makes a lot of sense and I completely agree,, people don't actually profit as much off of the lots.

I think it might jus be annoying for the fact that these people have a higher chance of winning (even tho they're technically not benefitting from it) and that it causes others to have a smaller chance at winning

I see where you're getting at, but my point is that the profit isn't my topic ATM. I'm talking about more accounts entering lottery which makes a higher chance of that 1 person having all those chances which makes it unfair, do you see what I mean now?

I get what you mean but even so, I don't think it's an issue because the more alts you use, the less profit you're actually making. Yes, it guarantees a higher chance of a win but in reality and in general, lottery's aren't exactly meant to be 'fair', however Skyblock has put measures, for example a limit to how many tickets each person can buy so that players have more of an equal chance at winning. Personally I just don't think this should be implemented.

This all relates back to the maths of vv's suggestion on removing the limits from the lottery. I'm going to be no supporting this idea.

If a player was to buy 3 tickets (1 ticket on 3 different accounts) they're going to be putting in a total amount of 6 grass and have a 3/4 chance to win whilst if a player was then to buy 1 ticket and put in 1 grass, they would have a 1/4 chance to win. If you ran this scenario 4 times, theoretically the player who bought 3 tickets would profit a total of 3 grass and the person who only bought 1 ticket would also win 3 grass. Of course this is just a mathematical scenario and this outcome isn't ensured.

It's basically a risk or reward scenario and if people want to go out of their ways to buy tickets on their alternative accounts, I think they should be allowed to. Plus, this would be a difficult thing to implement and maintain because you can't rely on using the IP's because some people might have siblings or others.

Personally, I just don't think this is something that needs to be implemented and I like how the system works as of right now

To be honest, I get the frustration of losing the lottery to someone with 3 accounts online. I've been there and it sucks but I think as Mai has pointed out they are spending more and overall losing more. Yes, it seems like they win a lot most likely because their names tend to stick out in chat. But going back to the idea that you lost to them more than likely other people entered the lottery so it's not necessarily like if they didn't have alts on then you would have won. I do really understand your point, but I think that limiting the amount of tickets is honestly enough. Just remember, if you do win against alts, you're winning more grass!
