Hello there! I'm really not sure if it's possible to do something like this but here is what i had in mind: (Edit: I KNOW /seen EXISTS, what i meant was being able to see for how long someone played for after leaving the server) So for when a person come's online you can see when they joined etc.. and how long ago they joined (when they are still online). And when they leave you can see for how long they were offline But what if when someone leave's you can see for how long they were online before they left? For example a friend of mine joins to get their kit which i don't notice because i was afk or just offline, and then i come online and check when they were last online and see for how long they were on so i could just assume if they came to get their kit if it was a short amount of time that they were online, or if it was a few hours I'd know they were actually playing So to sum it up when doing /seen after someone goes offline it will say when they went offline and for how long they were playing Thanks so much for reading, will appreciate any comment about this! I hope i explained this well so everyone understands it
istg if i see this sentence again, what i meant was after someone leaves you'll be able to see for how long that person played after leaving
Let me make this clear for everyone. The suggestion is to see how long a player was active before they left the server. This is not possible at the moment. You are only able to see when they were last active. The period of time is not shown. As for the suggestion, support. This is a great way to also judge applicants on activity. : )
Supporting, this is a big reason for me. Would honestly be useful in general especially for applicants but even for friends and other players!
Honestly, this would be really great for applicants, but also at the same time, I don't really find this that big of an issue for players that aren't interested in being staff. It would be a cool addition, but I don't see this being that large of a deal. Best of luck though, but for now I'm neutral as I don't see myself using that feature.
Agreed, but it still wouldn't remove the fact that they could have been afk for long periods of time This is a good idea, but if it were to be implemented I feel as if (Don't quote me on this I'm not a developer I basically don't know anything about coding LOL) there would have to be some sort of underlying code added to only have the timer going while the player is not standing still. For example, they will of course stand still to type in chat, so it could stop the timer when you have stood still for say 1 minute or so and kick back in again when you become un-AFK. I can see this being a useful tool to judge activity but if it were to be added I think it would have to have a work around to being afk as you could be "online" for 12 hours a day. The addition to/seen would need some sort of anti-AFK tracker to be FULLY useful for visibly seeing a players activity
I will be going neutral on this. I just think it'd be cool, honestly. I am not fond of the idea of using this to check applicants activity. I think it just causes more pressure for applicants to be online when we all have real lives to live. On top of that, I wouldn't want people to constantly be seeing how long I was online for before logging off, I think that's something that should stay private. If it gets added though, I wouldn't mind either.
