I'm seeing the word "lore" used when talking about stuff like Cas Cobble and Heads, but what's it actually mean? It's kinda confusing

 

Lore is the custom titles on the items (the coloured / bolded names etc.

the lores on items is what makes the rares valuable.

for example, drop party heads have lores and it says "christmas 2020" (this is jus an example)
but if you place the head you lose that "lore" and it would jus be a head without that custom name if that makes sense

 

The "lore" of an item is the description lines under the item's name when hovering over it. (Above / below where you see enchantments on items)

 

Oooooh! So the "lore" is just the special name on the item? OK! That makes a lot of sense with Head context, thx!
