Before my mute I was talking about things that are prominent in life right now - Covid & the US Election, to deter me from my freedom of speech about is completely wrong. I am allowed to talk about Covid, it is predominant in our lives right now - all around us, we can’t ignore it. Furthermore, I didn’t start the conversation about the us election and did not get political, after all I’m from the UK so as much as I am entitled to an opinion, it isn’t something I express as I understand those from America may not like me getting involved in US politics, a lot like stereotypically the British don’t like Americans getting involved in UK Politics. Thank you for taking the time to appeal, Craney. Yesterday you came to me about your mute and you knew it was me. First of all, you got muted not because of what you brought up but because of how you responded to the situation. Users were telling you that some people may find the topic uncomfortable, however you responded in a rude and disrespectful manner. I had asked everyone to stop the discussion as all it was leading to was an argument and everyone DID stop except for you. Let me refresh your memory and remind you that 3 weeks ago you got kicked from the server for not listening to staff and for not dropping the topic. This has happened a lot within the past few months and it seems to be something you can’t learn from or avoid. When a staff member asks you to drop a discussion within the server, there is a reason for that. In addition, your behaviour has not been the best lately. You’ve been acting up a lot recently and this is something we don’t want within our server. The reason your mute is permanent is because of this. It seems that you keep getting yourself into trouble and into arguments with other users for no reason. I would also like to bring up your involvement in the Liam/Jacko situation. Liam had been punished for what he said to you and everything he participated in, however after further investigation we have found out that you had taken part in the insults as well. You did not leave the situation nor did you refrain from adding fuel to the fire. We were willing to give you a chance to change your behaviour however we couldn't keep giving you allowances and showing bias towards you because of history. Your mute is permanent because your behaviour has shown no signs of stopping, you do not listen, you have been insulting the community and staff and furthermore we can no longer use your personal life as an excuse for your behaviour and you need to take responsibility. Punishments don't need to follow a certain escalation so if the punishment is harsh it’s because we deem it necessary. This appeal has been denied, only reappeal when you are ready to take responsibility and decide to change your ways. We can no longer tolerate this behaviour. Thank you.
