While I think it's cool that /lot buy 5 is now a thing, players seem to prefer doing /lot buy 5x in rapid succession. There's enough spam in the chat and the behavior is quite distracting. It only takes a couple players to completely fill the screen. May I suggest a cool down of one minute.
Instead of adding a cooldown to the lottery, why don’t we just disable the “{player} has bought {#} lottery tickets!” announcement? This would reduce spam while still allowing players to enter the lottery. However, it is true that said announcement can remind us to buy lottery tickets, so an auto server lottery announcement could be sent every x number of minutes reminding players that the lottery will be closing soon
I am going with Neutral. I don’t necessarily like the cooldown, but similar to Nobleza ’s idea, maybe the announcement for each player can be disabled- BUT an addition of a chat reminder would be cool. Much like the clear lag announcements. [Skyblock] There is 30 minutes left to enter in the skyblock lottery. There is currently (XX) tickets entered. Use /lot buy to purchase a ticket! I think that there could be about 5 reminders throughout the hour, then obviously the winner announcement. This would greatly reduce chatspam and lag when players purchase tickets!
It's incredibly annoying when players do /lot buy 1 five times in a row. I'd love to create a cooldown on the command. I was thinking around 10-30 seconds as a cooldown, as long as there are chat messages between the purchase announcements. Full support.
Just a cooldown is fine, I feel like it would be much better than disabling the announcements alltogether. Support.
Going neutral for pretty much these reasons, I think putting a cooldown on it would stop the spam but would also be quite annoying for those who maybe accidentally forget to add the 5 and then have to wait to buy 4 more.
Well, we could just use the automatic announcement for when the lottery closes/ reminder to buy a ticket from the lottery, that is currently in use in the Skyblock server.
