    I have seen some shops with a still, straght item on top and i was wondering how to make it still and not a spinning item

    Right click your tradeshop sign a few times.

    I think you have to keep right clicking until it shows no item (you should see a flash of an armour stand) and then re-visit your island and it should be still :)
