7. Why would you like to be unbanned? Personally, I believe that this 2 1/2 day mute for telling a humorous joke with a swear word in it is wrong. It was not intended to offend, insult, disparage, inflict pain upon or have any other negative impact on any player on this server. I hold no ill will towards anyone on the server, including the muting staff member, Bdarkslayer. I would be grateful if my ability to enjoy the server along with everybody else is restored.

Thank you for taking the time to make an appeal.

To start off, you mentioned that a 2.5 day mute was not the correct route for saying a simple statement. However, you didn't just say one statement. Below I have enclosed a few screenshots of the multiple comments you made while connected to our server.

Secondly, those comments weren't the end of what you said. You decided to call me an "idiot" and a "moron" after you were muted. Multiple other signs were created stating that you didn't agree with our rules and didn't feel they applied to you. This is disrespectful. I was very patient and understanding in talking through your punishment with you in-game.

Lastly, you made an empty threat at the end of our conversation and decided to log off. The rules will not be tailored to you. I will be very clear in stating this: If you decide to continue your actions following an appeal decision, you'll be punished further. This incident is on your record which is readily available to all staff members.

I would like to make sure that we are both on the same page. Please answer these questions and respond to what I said above.

1. Why do you feel your actions were wrong?
2. Why did you decide to disrespect the staff member that took action against your wrongdoing?
3. How will you change your actions in the future to ensure that you don't have any future punishments?

First, please allow me to respond to the above statement prior to the questions.

I acknowledge that I did not say one statement but multiple statements. These statements were deemed offensive by you, and as such were not to be tolerated. As a staff member, I respect and fully acknowledge your authority to perform punitive actions on players breaking server rules.

I admit that I was in the wrong in letting my anger get the best of me and lash out at you for doing your job. For that, I sincerely apologize for my wrongful behavior. I know that my behavior was indeed disrespectful and unnecessary. For that I take full responsibility.

My anger also made me write a threat directed towards you, Bdarkslayer. Occasionally I lose control of my emotions and do things that I would normally not do. I typically do not threaten anyone for any reason, but this time, I did what I shouldn't have. As a player and human being, I understand that threatening anyone, especially someone in a position of authority, is unacceptable and deserves punishment. I know that rules cannot revolve around me. For that, I again apologize for my behavior.

Now, to the questions.

1. Why do I feel my actions were wrong? Because swearing has been deemed to be in violation of server rules due to the possibility of offending someone or making someone feel uncomfortable.
2. Why did I decide to disrespect the staff member that took action against my wrongdoing? Because I, with poor judgment and extreme anger at a punishment that was, in fact, justified, decided to act in a rude and disrespectful manner towards Bdarkslayer. Sometimes my anger takes control when I encounter something I falsely believe to be wrong or unfair. The staff have a responsibility to take action against players who break or bend server rules. In disrespecting Bdarkslayer, I disrespected the entire staff team and I sincerely apologize for my actions.
3. How will I change my actions in the future to ensure that I don't have any future punishments? I will work hard to control my anger. I will not allow it to take control of my actions and insult staff or anyone else for taking action against my wrongful behavior. As for the original offense, I fully understand that I must not swear or use offensive or vulgar language to interact with the server. I believe that swearing isn't bad, but I also know that other people take great offense to these words. I will act accordingly and not use the language I used.

I hope Bdarkslayer and other staff members consider my appeal and allow me to enjoy the server once again.
