Hello everybody, my name is xSurvivors, commonly known as Surv, and today I will be conducting my application to take on a staff role for the server. (Predominantly an economy player)

I live in the United States

What languages do you speak?

I speak fluent English. I am getting close to speaking fluent Spanish, as I took the class all throughout school. I was also taught Latin, although it is a dead language, and not many people still use this language.

Do you have 2FA enabled? Yes/No

Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? (i.e. recording software, screenshots, etc)

I most certainly do.

Why do you think you should become a staff member?

Onto the juicy part! I believe I should become a staff member for many reasons, although I do have some qualities that I need to work on.

Activity:
I am an incredible active player, although I am not here to say I am on the server for 12+ hours each day. Realistically, I can be on the servers for around 5-9 hours each day. This will change, as I am now a full-time college student, but it won't be a drastic change. I believe I can hold a reasonable daily playtime of roughly 3-7 hours as a college student.

Approachable:
Many people talk of me as an approachable person. I get this a lot, mainly because of how welcoming I am to new people, and people who know me. I worked many years in a retail store as a Sales Specialist, so that job was partially the reason I am such an approachable person. Relating to SkyBlock, any player who comes and asks me a question, or just wants to chat, I try to make myself seem as an individual who can be talked upon without a second though.

Experience:
I will dive deeper into the experience section later in this application, but I will shortly sum it up right here! I used to be a Moderator on this server around 2017. It wasn't a "too" long career, but it was still there! I took the position and performed as a staff member to the best of my ability, and then unfortunately had to resign as personal matters were big back then. I have many Staff Experience, but the experience on this server is what matters!

Maturity:
I'll be real, I applied here and played when I was 13-14 and I thought I was mature. Little did I know, I was far from it. Now, entering my first year of college, I can reflect on my younger self and see where I went wrong. I have grown vastly since those times, and I like to think of myself as a mature individual, who knows when jokes are appropriate.

Hard-Working:
I am a very hard-working guy, and I like to show that quality throughout the server. I try my best to help every single person that asks for it, even if I cannot get the most accurate answer. If that's the case, I try to find a staff member to assist the individual, and I do whatever it takes to make sure their problem is satisfied.

How long can you be active on the server everyday?

As mentioned previously, I can be on the server from 5-9 hours each day!

How long have you been playing Skyblock?

My first time playing on this server was in December of 2012, and then I started playing Economy (.org) in late 2013. So it's been around 7-8 years.

Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game)

Coming with a 7-8 year playtime, also comes my ban experience. I have been banned roughly 3 times, though they were all prior to 2015! My first ban was in 2013, and it was for Scamming. My second and third ban were both caused because of Island Farming, and they took place in 2014.

Do you have any previous moderation experience?

I do! And in fact, I have Moderator Experience on this server in particular! I was a Moderator here for a couple of months, until I resigned due to personal matters. I like to think that I did my best and the community approved of me as a Staff Member, but I can't be for sure what everyone thought!

Do you meet the requirements for staff? Yes/No

I do!

I started playing on this server again around a month ago, so it may be fairly early to apply again, but I feel like I've caught on with all of the new features and met a lot of the new members, and I'm ready to help this community!

I appreciate your feedback, although I have to say, I typically try to push the truth when there’s a debate about what is allowed / disallowed. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a argument, just a debate to achieve the correct information. Heya Surv, nice to see you are re-applying for staff. As Frez said, you’re fairly new to economy but have learnt extremely fast. From what I’ve seen, you are helpful in chat, mature, and your application is well written. Although, only a couple of weeks ago you supposedly came back from a 3 year break: [link removed due to an error]
I think you need to fully re-establish yourself on the server after this huge period of time. It would also be nice to see you a bit on .net from time to time and chatting on the Discord.

I think you have the potential to make a great addition to the staff team. For these reasons, I’m going to go neutral leaning towards support. Best of luck!

Neutral for now. I got worried the application had been abandoned. That being said I do see you active. You’re friendly, welcoming and also knowledgeable. It’d be awesome to see you on discord more. Just a note, Survivors was unfortunately diagnosed with COVID-19 so he wasn’t able to play for some time. Luckily he is better and I think in recovery so that’s why his playtime and Forums activity has dropped. Hope he gets fully recovered and gets the strength to do whatever he wants and returns to us!

 

I hope xSurvivors told you to say this because personal info like this may not want to be shared. I know if I was in his situation I would like to tell players on my own terms. Thats just my personal opinion. I hope he is well though!
