.net has pretty much the most vanilla skyblock experience out there. What are peoples opinions on skyblock releasing a server similar to others, that perhaps gets reset every "season", is designed around a set theme, has daily events, mining worlds and stuff?
I like the idea of other types, but I think it's best as Ron Swanson would say, "Don't half a** two things, whole a** one thing!" The current servers have plenty to keep staff busy fixing and maintaining without the addition of a completely new server.
I wont be surprised if this coming soon server is a skygrid server or a sky prison server but I'm kinda excited for it ngl.

If I am being honest, I don't believe having a server that has regular resets would be good for the community. People enjoy building large and inspiring builds, and this may deter people from doing so. However, I would be open to a new game mode type!
Yeah, when I first realised it was a thing I was surprised, but several servers with hundreds of players seem to do it so I guess people don't find it that bad?
I wouldn't support a reset of the server, even though that could stimulate some stuff, I just don't think the creativity and the memories that are created through large islands and intricate builds would have the same feel.
I'd love a new server to build, play and moderate on! There is a "coming soon" listen on hub, so who knows, we may already be getting a new thing?
A new type of theme is always exciting. Would be cool if something like that was released. Looking forward to whatever is coming soon!
A pvp arena where you could set bets against other players, and fight, and whoever wins gets the grass would be cool Although I would lose all my moneh because I love (and suck at) pvp
Seems similar to a different server's version of skyblock I've heard about.... except the resets. I don't think this is necessary right now, the devs need to focus on reducing lag on the main servers. could be interesting, but i digress.
I'd honestly most love to see daily events. I know of servers who do parkour events every few hours. It teleports you to a proffessionaly built map, designed around the theme of their server. First person to complete the parkour gets a reward. There were also multiple different parkour maps to keep things interesting. A 1v1 event could also be cool though, say like 20-30 players, everyone fights each other in a 1v1, until there is only one player remaining.
This server is best kept how it is, other stuff will likely promote toxicity. If ya want that, go to hypxiel
How would that promote toxicity? Also to be clear this would be a new server just under the skyblock.net bungee network.
I feel like the people who play here are here because of its vanilla experience and that it doesn't reset. I know those are two of the bigger reasons why I play. I also agree Leo quoting The great Ron Swanson. Skyblock still has issues to take care of and focus shouldn't be shifted on creating an entire new server with a completely different style of game play. There's thousands of servers that work the way you suggested so I'm sure there is one out there to enjoy.
