I recently built a simple auto smelter with a lever to stop automated removal so I could manually remove a stone and collect all the stored xp. However I was not rewarded with an influx of xp for my efforts. Is this feature not available on 1.12? Is this feature shut down on this server? Am I just an idiot and somehow didn't notice the xp? One of the answers must be yes...
Only the third question is a yes. I can assure you that you get XP from removing whatever you've smelt from a furnace. As a matter of fact, I smelted some terracotta 2 days ago and I got XP from removing the hardened terracotta.
Ok thank you, I will pay more attention next time. But just to be sure have you ever used a hopper for automatic removal, stopped the automatic removal then received the built up xp? Upon rereading your post, you only said you removed terracotta from the furnace directly which is slightly different than what I did.
The feature of having tons of xp stored removing items and repeating then collecting xp then eventually removing the item manually is 1.13/14. Question 2 is yes or no my explanation for question 1 explains question 2.
I searched this up and couldn't find when it was changed but many of the YouTube videos had in their title "1.13" which I took as a clue that the feature became available then, but couldn't confirm with anything concrete. Thank you for your reply, this answers my question.
I think 0-tick farms were only efficiently working for the most amount of things (cacti, sugar cane, chorus flowers, etc.) in 1.13. I'm not sure about your method but that probably happens as well. (The only reason I know this is because of hermitcaft season 6, where i believe they might have used 1.13)
I’ve been mass smelting all sorts of things recently. Stone, terracotta, cactus green dye. For me, as soon as I take it out the furnace, I get the XP.
