Hello,

I just recently purchased the elite rank and therefore got a spawner. I placed the pig spawner and it said it was disabled. I thought it might need grass so I mined the spawner to store it until I got grass. Before, you could mine a spawner with any pickaxe. When I mined this one however, I did not get the spawner back! Can someone explain why this is? Is there a way to get it back? Also, why was it disabled?

Hi, sorry to hear about the issue you are having.
Unfortunately, spawners can only be mined with any silk touch pickaxe. Which may be where the confusion has occurred from, I don't think that there is anything that can be done about this, and I don't have any spare spawners to refund you with, otherwise, I would!

Yes, but another question: are you not allowed to change spawner types anymore?

 

That’s only on skyblock
On economy you can’t change spawners you have to get the specific spawner you want

 

As stated above, no - spawners cannot be changed on economy via /spawner.

Not even staff members can change them, you buy the spawner that you need and are stuck with that one unless you sell it.
