I can bring the elytra dropping up to other staff but at this point there is nothing we can do about it.

Unfortunately, the risk that comes with entering the nether is the possibility of you losing all your items. This applies to all players, including donors that have /god. The only way to keep your items safe is to not take them into dangerous places. Sometimes moderators or players will donate their own items to help players who lost something valuable, but it is not something done out of policy.
She's saying that the risk applies to everyone whether they are a non donor or a donor with /god or not.
Your complaint is based on the server owners neglecting to change default game settings so items you find valuable are not lost, ironically in an area where a warning already exists to not take valuable items. How you obtained the items is irrelevant. They can't fundamentally treat paid items differently
