I'm currently looking for a new laptop or just about any laptop that can replace my current one. I'm looking for one that I can do my school work, game with a decent fps, edit videos, and just simply surfing the web.

It would be great if I could get one because my laptop is becoming more sluggish and there's literally a massive crack that starts from near the power button to the keyboard. one of the hinges broke (design flaw?) exposing the inside and I believe damaged a wifi receptor that went along with that (my laptop can't recognize any wifi unless if it's close and won't have a good connection unless I am literally within a foot away from a router).

I'll upload some pictures later of my laptop but here are the specs:
This is the laptop I would use for the usage I described.

I did some shopping around and found this Acer E15 which personally would fit great, judging from the specs.

Wow its 5 years old, personally I say if you have the money you can go for the laptop as it has all the requirements you asked for. Also I think its better to go for a new laptop as it might cost more to repair your old one.

Only one 256GB SSD with no hardrive is really going to be a pain if you're planning on having multiple games installed and plan to do video editing like you said. Especially as you already have/are used to a 1TB HDD you will really notice the lack of storage space. I guess you could have an external HDD but that's not really ideal.

yea true. I had a similar issue 2 years ago with the laptop developing a crack in the same area where the crack is right now and took it to the repair shop. The guy said that the laptop is old and it's time to get a new one. He said the parts are there, but in the long run its better to get a new one cause it's going to get more expensive.

The memory is about the same and it is easily upgradable from what I have seen on the site

    somewhere around 400-700

But what matters to me is something that is a good replacement that won't be expensive and can handle everyday tasks well along with play games like minecraft with a decent fps
