If you ever tried playing skychat on a phone/mobile app, you couldn't since there was no way to hover over the text as you didn't have a mouse. I think it would be worth it to make this game playable fot those on these kind of apps, but I have no idea on how, so I'm putting this suggestion as a discussion thread to come up with ways of fixing this issue.
He's saying he wants to play skychat on a minecraft chat app but there's currently no way of hovering over the skychat. Unless the owners of such chat apps implement some sort of hover or tap/hold I don't think there's anything that can be done.
That would be difficult considering they are mobile apps and there is no real way for the devs to mess around with them to code a plugin that recognises those apps ui. It is the same reason if you tap on a name on the mobile apps it won't auto complete /visit for you. They can only modify functions on the pc version.
That's exactly what I thought, that there would be no way to do this but I thought maybe there would be someone that has the answer. I'll leave this open for a few more days
Developers of the chat apps need to implement ways to trigger the hover function within Minecraft's chat. Would definitely try taking this suggestion to the developer of which ever chat app you use. Nothing the Skyblock team could do for this outside of taking a while of their time to create an app themselves that does this.
I have a question, I have an iphone but I don't know which app to use that would allow me to communicate to the server from my phone. So what is the name of the app???
As the game wasn't intended for phones, I don't think this would be easy to implement, or that the server should need to cater to those who sometimes play on their phones. As krissy said, it would most likely be something to suggest to the people who make these apps, as it is a client side issue and not the server's. No from me, and good luck ;o
As people have said above, There is no way for developers here to configure the plugin so that it can be used via mobile apps such as MineChat. This is because that feature would be one that developers of the apps would have to implement, and I would totally be down for you suggesting it to said apps developers. However, I have an iPhone XR and cannot download MineChat
BillOP This would be a feature request for the developers of Minechat to allow json tag support and hover attributes and text transformations. I'm sure the idea has already came up with them before since well their app is based only on the chat function of Minecraft, you would figure they would have already added support for this such thing but probably ran into issues emulating it.
It doesn't actually come up on the app store. From the UK, iPhone XR - Don't know if it's not available in the UK or something?
Noobcrew/lee could do so instead of Hover over the word to type it could be Type the word <word> Neutral
