Hey i voted today on vote2 and vote3 but only vote3 worked. Here are some screenshots to prove it. I scrolled back up tp show how many votes i had before (63) and also the vote on vote2 that did not work. and here vote 3 With vote1 still on cooldown i should have 65 but i only have 64. Im in the top 10 right now so i hope that this can somehow get fixed
I tried voting for you on both vote2 and vote3, and it told me you had already voted today. Let me see if I understood. You voted, received the rewards but someway it didn't add one of the votes to your /topvotes?
i voted on vote2 and 3, vote 1 being still on cooldown from yesterday. i only got the rewards and the vote from vote3 i did not get any rewards or vote from vote2. in other words the server did not respond to me voting on vote2
i just want my vote to count to the overall votes, i dont realy care abaut the voter key or 1 grass i vote for the giftcard and to loose it just because something went wrong on the server side is kinda annoying
but isnt that going to annoy him when 40 people ask him to get their missing votes? cause it happends like once or twice a month for me XD
We're very sorry this happened to you. We don't control the voting sites, and sometimes network disruptions, server errors, or even mistyping a username while voting can cause one or more players' votes to not be received by us. While in the past we would occasionally apply votes manually for players when votes were missed, we simply don't have the ability or the resources to verify and apply votes manually for every player who has missed votes because of these types of issues, and it reduces the community's confidence in the fairness of the results if we apply votes manually for some players but not for others. For these reasons, to ensure fairness and avoid accusations of favoritism or tampering with votes, we now go by the actual log of votes received from the voting sites and do not make manual adjustments to vote totals for anyone. As lilCupcakeFreak pointed out, these types of issues happen to just about everyone randomly once or twice a month. There's usually a 1 to 3 point spread in the vote totals of the top ten voters, so you're not necessarily out of the running even if you've missed one vote. We're looking into ways to make the voting process more reliable and transparent, and are thinking of additional ways to reward players who consistently vote for our server, even if they don't make it into the top ten, so hopefully it will lessen the impact of these types of issues going forward. Sorry again for the trouble, and thank you for voting for our server.
but i did i vote and it did go trough i mean i have the screenshots and fran tried it too its not like my vote did not go trough, skyblock simply did not react to that. i know the problem that you are talking abaut that people simply cant vote, i had the same problem too the first few days i started playing on the server but its slightly differen this time. and abaut the fairness part, so its fair for some people to have more votes then possible like some people had 57 votes on day 18 and then others get "kicked" out of the top 10 list simply because something on the servers side was not working, is not fair in my book. and another point that i dont understand is, why does your place in the top10 depends on the fact who voted first on day 1. Tbh my reason to vote was solely the giftcard and the fact that i like the server but im not going so far just because i like the server also im not new so i dont realy have a use for 1 key or grass, its a nice bonus but its not realy necessary. dont get me wrong im not mad or anything, thats just what i think is wrong with the system right now. also as far as i remeber last month the votes did not work for like 2 days for everyone just like it did with my right now. everyone could vote but the server did not give any rewards so the same problem i have right now and it was no problem applying all the missed votes for everyone who voted on those two days
I understand your frustration, and I'm sorry this has upset you. Please understand that we have no control over the voting sites. You are actually sending them your vote, and then they relay your vote to us. However, the vote sites are sometimes unable to reach us to notify us of your vote for reasons beyond our control or theirs. The vote sites only make one attempt to send us a vote notification, and if they are unable to get through to us, they don't retry. When this happens for an extended time, all we can guess is that we've missed some number of votes, but have no way of knowing how many or who were all the players affected. It's kind of how if your phone loses signal you can't know how many calls you missed or who tried to call you, unless your phone company takes special steps to inform you afterward. Again, I know this is very frustrating for you. But please understand that to keep the vote tally fair, we cannot do anything that tampers with the results, or we'll be rightfully accused of rigging the results. These types of random disruptions are unfortunate, but they affect everyone equally, and don't discriminate against anyone in particular. They're also one of the things that keep it from always being the same ten players who win the top votes every month, otherwise, as you rightly pointed out, it would just be a contest of who can get their vote in before everyone else. Sorry again for any trouble, though, and best of luck! You're not out of the running yet, and there's a good chance you can still win if you keep voting every day.
Again im not mad i realy am not, it was more of constructive criticism and my poor understanding why you cant do anything abaut it, since i saw it fixed countless times i jumped into conclusion. If there is realy nothing you can do then you can just close this thread.
