Um title says it all. If you have any suggestions for what gfx card/processor/mobo/case/ram to get, that would be awesome

well, I'd say, as they 1. are posting this on a forum for a minecraft server and 2. included graphics card in their post that they want it mainly for gaming. Also, Mo, I'll happily help you. Will post in a bit!

Imagine trying to insult someone with 'dumbhead' and then spelling it wrong.

Eh, gaming wise I'd go with Intel as games are typically optimised better for Intel. If you want to get AMD, I'd go with a ryzen 2600 build.

PS: This is for CPU, not GPU. I use an AMD GPU and it's beastly.

Also, if someone is willing to spend $700 on a gaming PC, I'm going to assume that they want it for 'general' gaming, as in playing most of the new titles at high settings.

Well, ram speeds don't affect performance massively so if you are on a budget, the build I gave you was perfectly sufficient for you needs, and you won't really notice the difference between 3000mhz ram and 2666mhz ram.

yeah heres the story: i got a 325$ pc for christmas. Fast forward to 1 week ago and i find out i got the wrong desktop. Was a hp prodesk 600 g1 TWR, supposed to get lenovo 3.5 ghz quad core intel. ALready bought a gfx card, and so now im tryna return everything and get a new desktop.
if im using amd is this System Builder - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core, Eclipse P300 Tempered Glass (Black) ATX Mid Tower - PCPartPicker better?

The two builds are very similar. Your performance would stay relatively close, it would just depend on the game's optimisation for AMD/Intel.
