Honestly man, you just gotta keep at it. Dedication to the server is key, and having a tough mindset. When I was a mod, I was on the server almost every day (even tho that's not a true requirement, it's always nice to have a mod on) and having a tough mindset helps you prepare for the people you'll have to deal with (trust me, there's a buttload of difficult people). Good luck and god speed
If you're having to ask for everyone's opinion before you even make an application then don't apply. If you were to make an application right now I would no support for a few reasons: 1. You do not believe in yourself. Simply making this thread shows me that you would not apply unless you know that people will support you. 2. You do not help out. 3. Ask you have stated, you stopped helping to build your island. A moderator has to put the needs of the players in front of their own if they are to be a good mod (well, that's my opinion). I would delete this thread long before you make an application.
The exclusive downvotes on your application (among other factors) suggest you should, or rather shall, not.
Porbably not. Get to know the community more as well as the features it has to offer before applying. (would be a good idea to lock ur current app now)
I would right now go to your mod app and and comment "I would like this thread locked temporarily until I feel as if i'm ready to have it opened" so that way you can request it be open again when you feel as if you're truly ready to step into the tank. Personally I think I've seen you like once or twice in-game and I'm on extensively. I think you should seriously improve your ethic. You're gonna get a lot of cruel criticism as you can see from comments above this, but if that phases you, stop. But if you're ready to get a boat-load more of that, take the next steps forward, take my advice, and work on building a name for yourself in the sense that people know you're that guy who's always helping players. I'm more than willing to switch to a support on your app, but i need to see dedication. once again, best of luck.
Yea but I think you need to help more than that, like when someone ask in chat who’s sells dirt or sand you need to say it’s illegal.
I will be really honest with you, currently it doesn't seem realistic in a way that this sounds like its being forced. You keep saying you will help people over and over again but helping isn't the only thing that is needed. Personally I feel like you are not ready due to reasons like you aren't naturally helping, you haven't talk to the community, and your not ready to take that step and be a leader. There are more reasons but theses are the main ones that I am stating. I can give you some insight about me, I am a player who plays /classic often and I interact and help people who are in need and I do that out of nature and every time i do sometime good like that I feel the joy and I always have the urge to come back to Skyblock to play more. I even had a thought that I would like to try applying for helper but I stopped myself because I know its not possible due to my situation(If you want to know its things like I can't be on every single day and I can dedicate most my time into Skyblock because I have work, etc.) But I do want you to know that don't give up here, but do realize that you need to actually think about what is reasonable for you like is this position something you could dedicate in a long term and does the community know you well, theses are some of my advice that I have for you. But I wish you the best of luck
We all have to start off from somewhere. I usually say that if you are asking whether you should apply, it's very evident that you're not completely ready to take on a huge role such as staff. Building is out of the question when you're moderating, I've been working on a project for almost a year now and still haven't got halfway to finishing yet. 95% of my time is spent making sure players are feeling comfortable and dealing with various types of situations, sometimes all at once. When you believe that you're ready to apply, that's when I think you should consider it. For now, keep helping others, improve on your qualities and build a thick skin in preparation for lots of criticism and feedback.
