so I want to become a mod /helper, but I don't know what people will answer me on that, I will add some more info when I actally apply,
To get mod rank in skyblock its very challenging, its very hard and it chooses players that are very experienced, famous and helpful,so rip for u
When applying there is no defined time frame that you hear back on your application within. For every mod it varies for the time it takes their application to be looked at - you will hear back if/when the managers believe you are ready for the role of staff. When first applying the most important thing to check is whether you comfortably meet the requirements - otherwise you’ll hear back a lot sooner than you expected. In the meantime the rest of the community will see it and offer areas for improvement and rate it compared to others. In regards to this thread, please be aware of not breaking this rule: The rules on this can be found here.
As blyx said, applying and getting accepted takes time and varies from 1 applicant to another, for example, an org ex mod named JustSarah applied and got mod like the same day and another applicant for example take 52, took more than a year to get promoted so did I. When you make your application, you will be recieving lots of different feedback, some positive helping you, giving you ideas and some negative but mainly in a good way by giving you pieces of advice on your application or criticism but in the end just take them all in and work on your self to make yourself better and better until the whole community will start to want you to become a moderator and then hopefully you might get accepted.
I do help a lot in chat, so people may say that, I kind of stopped helping a bit ,(reason why is bc im working on my island in org) but I do still help, if you check my messaging history, from like 4-6 weeks ago, you may see me helping out a lot
another thing you have to take into consideration a staff member devoted most of there time into moderating. I was talking to krissy the other day and I asked why won’t she build a new island or a mall she said it’s because she doesn’t have time to accually play then game she moderates the game Keep in mind some staff members find time to build and do stuff but most of their time is accupied due to them having to moderate
The question isn't whether you should "become mod" but rather if you're dedicated enough to spend your time moderating. A lot of people don't get that moderators don't get the time to "play" the game as much as players do. On busy days you're pulled back and forth between players who need your help. On days like that, what you want to build on your island does not matter. You signed up to help players, not for status. In my opinion, you are still new, you're not very confident in helping players, and you do it to look good in an application you may or not make. If you do apply, I wish you the best of luck, however, what I say now will stand then, unless I see change.
People will support and no support you but at the end of the day if you are being a mature and helpful member of the community you will be noticed. If you have to ask people if you should apply or are scared of the feedback you get... then you will be in for a shock if you get promoted
Applying takes time, like weeks or months, Your Staff Application must have these requirements, 2FA, 150+ Messages, Access to all Platforms of Skyblock, and being on the Forums for a Month, You just have to be mature. helpful, and active.
I can't determine on you as I've never talked/been around you. People will always give feedback, support/no support you, but at the end of the day it's ultimately up to the admins. Don't let your dreams stay dreams! -Parrot
You may not be online, but I do help people often. Today I helped someone about how to get ores in a generator.
I don't think so right now, the fact that you said your helping stopped a lot for 3-4 weeks just to work on your island I get that people need to do other things then help but even if it's just in chat, but as others have said you have to give up having fun building your island, a lot of things can change even in a blink of a eye if you don't have time now you might not later. Well gl
To be honest, everyone is different and it depends what the managers feel like. If they see a lot of support they will consider it. Believe it or not a lot of people get their application denied for not following the rules or have been banned. Applying for mod is like applying to Columbia-only a handful will get in. Once in you aren't really mod but you are on the way to becoming a moderator Just don't break the rules and help out and you will do great my dude
