Some people make map art on their own islands so worrying about others copying it is very frustrating. I think it wouldnt harm anyone for it to be added.

 

This is a really though situation to consider knowing that you don't want people to make a map on your island but yet what harm does that bring or do? So I'm going to say neutral for this one.

There are some locked Islands that people can't see that is unfinished, but there are some people that have maps to get the Island on the map.

 

Support i understand that nar copied your map and there is no rule against this

this also adds more rarity to certain maps

Neutral, it’s not like they can edit your island or anything, they’re just creating a birds eye view of it, I don’t understand a situation why this would be bad? Please, point it out to me someone if it’s obvious.

Neutral, this is quite a niche suggestion, one of which I don't think would be utilised that much. As long as you keep your island locked, surely it won't be a problem...

 

On my island, i have a giant 420 blaze it map art on the top of my island, and with this being a kids game, i dont want a map like that to go into circulation in the economy, but rather keep it for a few friends to have. Regardless, my /sethome is many layers below it. Thats my reasoning. I enjoy island visitors, but dont want to worry about someone who will steal my designs

 

Neutral, I don't mind people taking maps of my island. Though, you can always keep your island locked and maybe guest ban those who took a map of your map art previously.

People would copy map arts you made, people can easily steal your map art that someone might be selling

For those who think locking your island will help, it won't. They will just fly to your island.

 

Neutral I agree with south and Blyx if you don’t want people to create map art just lock your island or move your creation to a private island

Neutral, I don't feel this is entirely necessary, I understand that there was one example where a map was made "illegally" but apart from that one situation, we've never had a problem with it before.

 

Going to bump this. I still hope have an opportunity to give some sort of uniqueness to island map arts without others needing to worry about people snatching them off of the source island. The reason why i am not simply satisfied with /lock is because some islands are intended to have active business.
