    Hello,

I'm simply writing to enquire more about how to embed BB code into my signature as, when I attempt to enbter a huggle.jdf.org signature - which allows people to give a meaningless, pointless, huggle/point - it says there is an error which you can see here:

What am I doing incorrectly and which part of the code is the problem which needs to be removed?

To be honest, and I may be wrong, I don't think the BB code has ever worked in a signature if I'm remembering correctly. What exactly are you trying to get in your signature?

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I had seen another member here (it was actually Michael, a Moderator) who had an embedded signature from a website called "huggle.jdf.org" which adds 1 "huggle" (point) every time someone clicked on it. It didn't provide any rewards, there was absolutely no profit or reason for it, other than a "counter" to see how many times it was clicked. That was all.

On the huggle page, it gives us a standard link to the huggle page to see how many clicks you have had (again, meaningless "click" points/counter) and a BB code link for signatures.

Not sure how Michael got his working but mine doesn't seem to. I tried with the different signature code options for "General Code" "PHP" and "HTML"

You can try asking Jbnorman since he has one of those huggle things.

Essentially, you're trying to implement an image that leads to a link, which is simple enough (and completely possible using the allowed BBCode tags). [CODE] (as well as [HTML], [PHP] etc, which you mentioned) tags are not allowed in signatures--I don't think they're what you're trying to achieve anyway. This is what a code tag does:
    Code:
What a pretty, blue, scrolling box for you to put things in. It's not included in signatures because it's not really necessary there, much like quotes and such.
Anyway, it should work just fine if you simply remove the code tags. Code is automatically read on our forums unless it's surrounded by [PLAIN] tags, so you don't need any indicators. The other tags should work provided your URL isn't too long.

Let me know if this answers your question or raises any more.

I believe that Lycel is correct; it should work perfectly fine if you remove the [.CODE] tags. There is also a section at the bottom of the website that allows you to copy BBCode, that can be pasted directly into your signature, as shown in this GIF.

Thank you, Lycel and everybody else. I have gotten this working now by simply removing the CODE tags.
