I think there should be a way to prevent two or more people from having the same nickname. This will prevent nick abuse and pretending to be other people with /nick.

 

I believe it already prevents you from nicking as another players IGN.

I think that would just cause many issues, if two players have the same nick there's always /realname.

Ya, you can't be the exact same name. The filter would have to prevent similar names, which would be too labor intensive, and would cause issues.

Players just need to respect each other, then there won't be an issue.


Plus, what Annn said: you need only hover over their name, and you can see exactly what their IGN is, and punish accordingly.

 

Not really, we have /realname as the others said but if it was some troll or something who changes his nickname real quick after telling something bad via the other person nickname then you can always hover over their names to see who it is... so my only suggestion is to make us able to hover over the person's nickname when they buy lottery tickets as we can't really know who it is sometimes and they can be trolls nicknamed with bad names or trying to offend certain people with their nicknames.

yeah, its not really a big problem on skyblock. it happens maybe once or twice in a few days, but the nick abuse are just like people saying "hi" or like "I'm dumb punch me"
