Minecraft is one of those games which never dies, even if someone quits I doubt they will never come back. I personally always go through loops on quitting and returning. Other games are evolving but that doesn’t change the minecraft community and what they love, skyblock is fine also
Oh are you getting tired of it! Thanks for saying you're tired of it, then reading it and responding to it!
to be fair, minecraft hasn't fully died just yet. it has a brainwashed player base that thinks the game is still fun, so really they're winning still. skyblock didn't die because minecraft died. skyblock died because the owners let it die. (lack of communication between owners/players) there were 2 times the amount of players on 2 years ago at this time. 300 constantly. my eyes are sore from seeing these 10 year olds think that 100-180 players is alot, when it's close to nothing, if we're gonna think rationally. to the people saying it was the eula, the eula effected skyblock in no way. everyone still got their game advantages if they threw money at the owners, there wasn't any hiccups with the eula as far as i know. i don't know why everyones saying that the playercount is better then before before was two years ago, thats 300 people online, how're you gonna tell everyone that 180 is more than 300?? jesus. other bigger servers with actuall numbers on their servers (thousands) have kept up with their players suggestions/feedback, and keep communication going very well. these are two things skyblock lacks extremely hard. you know, i just saw a suggestion the other day, from the beggining of july, got accepted, but not implmented into the server until a month after. it wasn't something extremely hard to do either, it was something that any joe shmoe could do. and if you still for some reason have it drilled in your head that skyblock isn't dying. You have some good points in the rest of the post but I am willing to discuss on this one. The EULA is really being misunderstood for some negative thing that has happened to Minecraft for the past several years for now while basically nothing changed. It made servers really fair for others to play in my opinion, sure there are some loopholes but at least big servers won't give you a 4x XP boost for 7 days anymore because you gave them $10, it is made so that everyone gets the same advantages. As a former server owner I can tell that the EULA changes, also if not impacting your server's donation packages, can still really impact the player base. I dropped from a 200 standard player base to 120 on august 1th 2014 just because of the negative impact it had packed with the so called changes, and my packages weren't pay2win to start with. I also agree with the fact that it couldn't have been fully EULA but as I recall the server had a shitton of players back in 2014 so it seems almost impossible that the EULA could have effected SkyBlock.
exactly. i expected eula to effect skyblock, when i first heard about it, but it never did, and they kept the same pay to win packages they have up now, up then. mojang simply wasn't a threat to skyblock, and they are smart for not taking the pay to win down. SB is one of the very few servers that have done that. (edit - if anything, eula helped skyblock in 2014, wasn't the server getting like 500+ players or something like that??)
I wouldn't say it completely died, I mean we do have 50-200 players online every day. However, back in like 2014-2016 before the Windows 10 version came out. The server was completely full at most times.
I mean if we compare the server count from 5 months ago and now it has increased. Max used to be 60-70 but now like 150. Yea it isn’t like old days but nothing lasts forever.
Again, it doesn't have as much people as it used to... But you have at least 50-150 players every day.
so maybe if it doesn't have as much players as it used to.. it's dead. 50-150 isn't alot. that's "dead" to any moderately large server.
even better, didn't read it, still gonna respond and say I'm tired of seeing it. minecraft got old, the skyblock concept got old. it's not unique to the server in the slightest anymore. not a surprise that it's fading away.
