Something that I really don’t like is when people put white or “invisible” text when judging a mod application. For example: somebody says “no support.” But in white text after that, they say “jk support”. The only way to see if they are joking is to reply, and it is very annoying. It makes an applicant feel down and lose faith on themselves, later finding out it was a joke. So let’s stop the white text. You can’t see this until you reply.
I genuinely don’t think it has that much of an effect. You’re the only person I’ve ever seen complain about it. If you don’t like something, ask the person who did it to edit their post or something rather than making a thread to complain about it.
I agree with Laini. Players are allowed to use whatever colour they want when they type and make jokes. It’s not a rule that you can’t have a little joke when they’re actually supporting that person.
Well some people did that to me tho I always highlight these posts just in case theres some white text somewhere. Honeslty it doesn't annoys me but u can always ask them to edit it out. Fruit Facts 31 Facts about Fruits Grapes explode when you put them in the microwave. Apples, peaches and raspberries are all members of the rose family. Oranges are not even in the top ten list of common foods when it comes to vitamin C levels. The World's Most Popular Fruit is the TOMATO. Coffee beans aren't beans. ... Bananas.
Honestly, it doesn't bother me and if it bothers you, it's easy to just ask for the post to be edited It's just a harmless joke, and it's not even being used in a mean way because the white text is used to support the person
I don’t really care about it. It is usually done by friends anyway so they know what it is. But if we are being realistic here, those comments aren’t usually taken seriously and no one really cares about the comments on mod apps
just like krissy said. the only comments that they actually look for(if they even look) are well reputable members. they could care less if some joe shmoe says you're fit for staff. i think ya'll are overreacting just a bit.
I've never been confused by white text, because you can see it even on the default background. It's just harder to read. (Transparent text is another deal though. Pretty hard not to miss that unless it's pointed out.) I think it's a harmless enough joke, and a fun way to shake up just writing 'support' (even though you're not supposed to do that anymore). Usually the people who write it will only do so in obvious contexts, such as when you're a friend of the applicant, or if that applicant is extremely well-liked, therefore when someone inexplicably writes 'no support' it's natural to look into it more (in part by highlighting the message to look for secret messages). Maybe it's confusing for new members, but I've never thought of it as something that's legitimately hurt someone.
It's not like it's harming anyone. It's just a simple joke, mostly done by friends. It's not been used to possibly hurt someones feelings. Players should be allowed to use whatever colour they can to make a joke. If you don't like it, just tell them to edit their post.
