People are not being afk but they are not fighting.. Some people are trying to kill the mobs, but some people are just staying in the middle and walking around. I think the solution is very simple: End of the Mob Arena, if a player don't have ***800+ damage given point, he will not get any reward. ***That number can be different.
Myself and Michael came up with a pretty good solution to stopping afkers within mob arena. Add a damage counter to the top of the screen and set a limit you have to reach to be rewarded at the end. If the limit is not reached, the player will not receive the reward. Of course don't make it too hard for players to reach it. Maybe set it at a 400-500 damage rate so players will have no choice but to try and reach that.
No support. People will just get the required damage then AFK. Also some people are really bad at Mob Arena and can be screwed over by this.
Well atleast this gets them to actually do something rather then nothing at all. Bad or good, you should easily be able to hit that mark. People play it to have fun and get rewards, doesn't matter if they are bad.
Ok, so I just do like 10 waves then just AFK the rest of Mob Arena. This is an unoriginal idea and it does not work well. There is no incentive to actually "do something", especially during boss waves where most people AFK. This is a step closer to AFK solutions, but it is still a bad solution.
I hope you realise that the 400-500 damage was just an example, right? Oh and since you are bringing up boss waves and people afking them, you are one of those people.
Exactly. If it was something like 2000 it would be too hard for most people and if it was a 1000 it would be a joke. 1500 is a bad middle ground as there is still a fair amount of people getting above that sometimes. It is just too easy to get the damage in the first 20 rounds then begin to AFK for people that know how to do a lot of damage. I am gonna say it again too, good step in the right direction, but it is a bad solution.
Here is what the mob arena looks like for people that click spam versus me. That is with a small group at the very end, normally there is a lot more so the damage would be even worse for those few I carried. It is just a bad solution still IMO.
Support. Its really annoying seeing these AFK people just standing here watching us doing all the hard work while they are just doing nothing but end up getting the prize that we worked hard for.
Rozels maybe not a damage indicator but a movement indicator, so that you have to move a certain amount of blocks so you cant afk, that seems like a better option since you cant afk then and noobs can still play mobarena!
Support, I think its a good solution. Obviously it couldn't be too high as people have already said, because not everyone is the best at mob arena but I do think this could maybe help with the afk players
Your idea is extremely similar to a previous thread made. I'll merge this thread with that one, as the other thread doesn't have any replies and it seems a waste to archive the more active one. Make sure to check if a suggestion has already been made before making your own, even if it was just an hour beforehand
