Like so many times today, the lottery has been won by Apext. Like in a row. This needs fixing bc so many players entered with 2 tickets and it can't be possible to win that many times in a row and so everyone thinks the lotto is broken. Thanks

 

Well I think the lottery winners are chosen randomly but maybe it is based on some alphabetical order or something, I dont know its just luck like I sometimes win a lot : ))

 

IVe been a member on Sb for many years and it is defo rigged every time i play the lotto it is Apext most of the time

 

Let's do some math now to calculate what actually are the odds of him winning 5 out of 10 lotteries

Assumptions:
- Donor do not get an increased chance of winning.
- 1 ticket bought = 1/x chance of winning, where x=total number of tickets in the pool.
- ApexT participated in all the lotteries
- ApexT bought 2 grass in all the lotteries he won.

As you can see in the pic, out of 10 most recent draws, he won 5 of them.

1st draw won: 63 grass (tickets)
Chances of win = 2/63 x 100% = 3.17%

2nd draw won: 47 grass
Chances of win = 2/47 x 100% = 4.26%

3rd draw won: 29 grass
Chances of win = 2/29 x 100% = 6.90%

4th draw won: 13 grass
Chances of win = 2/13 x 100% = 15.4%

5th draw won: 27 grass
Chances of win = 2/27 x 100% = 7.41%

In total, the odds of this happening are:


0.0741 x 0.154 x 0.0690 x 0.0426 x 0.0317 x 0.875 x 0.867 x 0.889 x 0.913 x 0.952 = 0.000000623

If you are wondering what is (0.875 x 0.867 x 0.889 x 0.913 x 0.952), that is the probability of him having lost the
other 5 lotteries
