As a side note. My VPN (the IP I Use to connect to the server, to prevent DDoS attacks, As I have been swatted and ddosed before). was broken into by an OpenVPN client bruteforce attack... (I believe i was targetted, as i have had a fight with a few other players.)

I've spoken to another member of staff who directed you to a thread that tells you all hacks that are illegal, after you asked them if the hack you were referring to was legal. Since you had been directed to this thread, you would know that fly hacks were illegal, and you would know that you were breaking a rule.
Please explain why you decided to go ahead with fly hacking anyway?

I don't have to provide it, all I'm saying is that I do have proof that you were flying.

Because i had timer/airjump, It may look like fly, I am a client dev.

 

And by the way. If your talking about me inside a mob grinder, It was float.
It can't be used as a fly
It only lifts you 0.493 blocks above ground.
EDIT: According to the code in my workspace, It lifts me 0.4246 blocks above ground...

 

In this video you were easily more than 2 blocks above the ground level.

It might be something to do with the code in my client.

 

Just to update, It seems as if my bind system broke, And something caused my fly to toggle (when it enables, It tends to offset Upwards by (2.5+ blocks?)
If you're talking about when i afked in someones grinder. I checked my client logs as it logs the Modules i toggle in a seperate .txt file automatically, It seems it toggled overnight.
EDIT: Forgot to say, I fixed the bug.

 

+ If i did fly, I am honestly sorry. I have bad memory (not inserting a dumb excuse, I am just the type of person that forgets stuff all the time). So I read that thread, but i was unsure, as it's over 2+ years old.

 

I'd like to thank Laini for allowing me to express my concerns with this appeal.

The fact that the thread is 2+ years old is not an excuse. It was last updated on the 13th of Feb 2018, making it a very accurate representation of what is allowed and what is not.

I directed you to the thread and told you to read it and evaluate whether or not the hack you had mentioned and wanted to use was on it.

You argued saying it wasn't illegal as it was only a speed hack. Clearly that wasn't the case.

I find it very hard to believe that you do not remember fly hacking if you, as you say, are a client developer, you'll remember activating it and have logs of that. Alternatively as Laini's evidence will show, you were actually flying - and evidence doesn't tend to be lie.

Even if your claims about your client's bugs are true, that won't save you from the fact that you were caught in the act of fly hacking. You took a risk by choosing to hack, this is your consequence.

That's all I have to say on the matter. Good luck with your appeal.

If you were testing bugs in your client, why don't you have a test server to work issues out on? As much as you may think that's a reasonable excuse, it isn't.

Since some other issues have been brought up around you and alternate accounts, I'm going to have to deny this appeal.
