Hi Wade! Now that this appeal is a standard apology appeal, my primary concern is the way you acted in your first one. Instead of admitting you were wrong and owning up to your mistakes, you aimed to attack my completely reasonable punishment to a point where you called me biased, despite the fact I consulted several other moderators regarding your punishment. Now, I'm open to constructive criticism of course: I'm about as far away from a perfect human as anyone else. However, that appeal showcased that you were not apologetic for your disrespect at all, and would rather place the blame for your ban on someone else rather than yourself. So: why should I believe a word you say when you say you're sorry? Also, I'd quickly like to address your comment that your disrespect was "in no way intentional". It's quite difficult to be nasty to people by accident so many times in a short space of time. If you would care to explain how one could do that, I'd love to know.
Yes! Thanks for responding. That appeal was crap appeal, to be quite fair. Nothing about my appeal showed that I was apologetic, nor did I prove to any of the staff member staff who saw it that I was at all sympathetic for my actions. I assure you that you can rely on my word that this behavior will not be exhumed again.
Hahaha, it's amusing if not morbid to describe your behaviour as disentombing some sort of corpse. Anyway, as much as I appreciate the candour and apologetic nature of your response, both of my questions remain: What do you mean when you refer to an accidental rudeness, and though you assure me that you won't act up again, my question was why should I rely on your word that you won't act up again, when you have already provided me with ample example of why I shouldn't?
Exhumed meaning being brought back xD. I wasn’t meaning to hurt their feelings. I was simply frustrated with the fact that people have been told multiple times certain things, and they kept doing it (how ironic.) People we’re posting things without proof, and it was really frustrating. I didn’t mean to upset them, I was in the view that I was being a critic. You can rely on my word that this behavior will not happen again. If you look, this is my first punishment on the server and discord in over a year. My previous punishments have been enough for me to straighten my act, and the same thing is in place here.
I've only heard it in reference to grave robbers and archaeologists. I was mainly saying that it's a funny metaphor to make given the common usage of the word. Clearly not, given you find yourself banned again I digress. I understand what you mean. It is frustrating when someone asks for help or reports someone without evidence, however that is not your concern at all, it's the moderators. We don't call people who do it moronic, so your second-hand indignation was hardly appropriate. That being said, I can understand that if you lost control of yourself, this sort of emotional outburst may happen. I do believe that you now understand the consequences of being cruel, and so I will unban you on the Discord. This is not because you are forgiven for your acts: if you continue to abuse members of our community for any reason, your punishment will be reinstated with very little chance of a successful appeal. I am only unbanning you because I believe that you do not wish to be banned again, and thus will act appropriately in the future. I look forward to seeing you back on the Discord, this time with a more positive attitude. Appeal accepted.
