I'm not the only one who loves the mods before they are promoted, but as soon as they get that shiny tag, I hate them am I?
Well, hate is a strong word but some players do indeed change after they get promoted. But not everyone changes for the worse.
Unfortunately it isn’t uncommon for people to change after promotion. Some staff get an attitude of superiority over players rather than a humble leader of the community and thus impacts how we see them. Usually upon promotion you may speak to non staff friends less as you mainly speak to staff friends because they are the ones you are allowed to talk about staff things too. Generally you will keep your closest friends. There are certain expectations within the team. You need to meet them to be a good team member. Hating people because of a tag seems a bit much. I could only put down that kind of hate as jealousy.
I mean someone here posted that I don't like and I don't think they deserve mod at all but still damn man
Very unfavorable, but accurate. Staff members tend to go through what a lot of people call the "BS Stage." They put on a show for a promotion, get promoted, changes, and then the community shuns them. All the power hastens straight to their head. All a part of pretty much every server. No escape.
I don't think I've changed at all, both before I was applying and before I was promoted (I think I've always been a pedantic goody-two-shoes?). I'm like a dam with no running water. Stagnant, filled with algae, and smells like dead fish. But yes. All mods are awful. Every last one.
Lies. I'm like the old grandmother of the server now and i've watched every mod that came through. I know whos changed the most to the ones that stayed the same. Actually the most unchanged staff is laini.
Hmmm, interesting, because I remember early Laini quite differently [EDIT] LOL NO I might've changed from age, but I don't think I change between being a mod and not being a mod. It's hard to tell from the inside.
