Since diamonds are pretty much useless now and nobody wants to buy them. Let us buy lottery tickets with them! I was thinking 5/6 tickets per diamond or something.

 

The other problem with this is also that the price of diamonds fluctuates so they would have to keep changing the amount of tickets given and they also cannot account for the wide ranges of prices that different players sell them for.

 

Also if you want to extend the amount of tickets bought it could create even much worse spam if some trolls out there decide to /lot buy 1 seven times and boom the chat is getting spammier and spammier (If that what you mean). So I'm sticking to no support plus diamonds are like useless now and grass is much more better

I don’t think the diamonds should be used everyday for lottery, but however, maybe for just one day. On /classic, that was actually implemented for a short time but then taken away. I believe it was on Sundays where diamonds were used for the lottery.

We are definitely looking at ways for players to spend diamonds, however the Lottery will probably not be on the list for several reasons.

The first is the issue of fairness: The people most likely to have spare diamonds are the folks least likely to need a lottery win. Kits with diamonds are a higher level Donor perk and the amount of diamonds increases with higher ranks. Turning around and giving them a larger amount of lottery tickets is a bit lopsided.

Secondly MrABGold mentioned a side issue-- the "price" of diamonds fluctuates. So the amount of tickets per diamond would have to change as well or we would get complaints about under- or over-valuing.
